Goodbye Burt Reynolds, more than a great movie star, showed the world what a fine honest, down to earth man you are,,and did it all with that cheeky grin..
Yes. He still is and I took a challenge to watch all of his movies, not just the ones I grew up with, but from his early days. Got inspired to this since I saw an black and white Hithcock episode where I didn't regognize him at the beginning. Found it from imdb cause he looked familiar. R.I.P. You were a true car guy and ladies man! Btw: can anyone translate what he says at the beginning? Something about afterlife I suppose. Edit: not a challenge but a mission.
Burt was in his early 80's here, not 70's. He was in MUCH better shape in his 70's. You can tell by the weakness in his voice his heart is giving him trouble. All your strength, of body & mind, goes when your heart is not working properly...😢
To me the world is less fun without BR in it. I'm taking the loss of Burt harder than most celebrities.. Rest without remorse Burt you seemed like a good man.

Correction : I was 17 when "Smokey And The Bandit" was released ... Always thought it was such a cool movie ... I started driving 18 wheel for a living about that same time and still do in Detroit ... Always thought ... he looks like a Michigan man ...like he's from Michigan ....He was so charismatic ... so likable .... Classy too .. Burt had "Class"
According to the WPTV website, the interview was conducted a little over a month before he passed away on September 6 2018. It was at the Eissey Campus theater in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
