Hey man we love your stuff, Ole Pike County boy here and I've lived in Lexington for way too long now. You're truly living the dream man. Im gonna move back and bring my food truck and set up on the weekends and fish the river and ride the trails during the week and live out my years. Keep up the good work my brother and GOD BLESS YOU AND THE MOUNTAINS..

It's ironic that people argue over the feud trying to remember and the actual participants probably just wanted to forget it. Another good video guys

Great video. Thank y'all for everything y'all do to bring us these stories. That entire fued was something that should've never happened. I'm glad the later generations put an end to it. May all that were touched by the fued find the peace in death that so many missed in life. God bless y'all for all that you do and stay safe on your travels.

Beautiful cemetery, looks to be well cared for. I really enjoyed seeing pictures of the deceased on headstones 🪦 Let us hope that 20-30 years from now, there will still be people who will want to learn about the feud. Thank you very much Leo and Heather, for another great video. Have a great day. 😊

I'll always say that Appalachian family cemeteries are the most beautiful and peaceful places on Earth. I remember hearing about the death of Mr. Jim McCoy when I was a child and the historical significance he held. I'm not sure if he had an active involvement since he would have been really young, but I remember being told that when he passed, the last living memory of the feud went with him. Just a couple of other observations: the Harriett McCoy stone is definitely a replacement. Probably done in the 1960s from looking at the style of it. Also, the symbol of an anchor on a headstone in a non-military or nautical setting is a symbol of hope and strength. As always, thanks for another great video! Makes me feel like I'm back home standing in the early summer sun peeking through the trees.

I had heard something in the past about how the Hatfields and the McCoys had 'buried the hatchet' but never knew the details. That was very interesting Leo! Thank you!

Why does yucca grow in the cemetery but nowhere else? That’s just stuck in my mind. I can’t come up with a reason. Thanks for another great video.

Maybe he's a "Participant" in the sense that he helped end it. Not necessarily that he was fighting in it?

The youngest son of devil anse was 78 i beleive when he died an that was around 1980 an the herald dispatch had interveiwed him maybe couple years before he passed, i know i cut it out of the newspaper back then cause i still lived back home then in wayne co. I grew up hearing bits an peices but the old folks wouldnt talk about it,ashamed of it, my great grand paw an my daddy both were named frank phillips,my ggrand paw were from pike co. Ky he is buried in a mine there. My name is craig phillips 62 yrs old. Anyway i love everybody an love ur show.

Maybe they called him a participant only because his family was so close to the fighting?

Do you know anything about this McCoy? Her name to the best of my knowledge was Amanda C. (McClain) McCoy wife of Asa H. McCoy. Her daughter was Lulah McCoy Singleton (birth May 20, 1870.
