I am a direct dependant thru constable Floyd Hatfield who is my great great grandfather.I just want to thank you for not dramatizing and keeping the facts straight of the feud the way the history channel did.
Hearing it first hand from my grandpa it was over land that one that was owned by Devil anse, that Perry cline tried to steal.perry cline was related to Randolph McCoy.then it really started to get bad when the McCoy brothers killed Devil Anse's brother Ellison. Well ty again for the honesty
My uncle and I were by the cemetary in November of 23 ( my great grand mother and grand mother are burried there ) but could not get to the cemetry. or find the entrance. Where is the entrance if I ever get to go back?
As a young man growing up in PR I thought the Hatfield- McCoy feud was just American folklore. I first saw the story in a Saturday morning cartoon. Boy was I wrong. Outstanding Americana History. TY Jenn. Cheers y’all.
Sent to fast I also bought the cookbook. " eat' n. With the Hatfields " and it was signed by Jack Hatfield you can get one from the meusium there I sent away for mine. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA.......
Good video young lady ! Love that story. ( I even bought the DVD. Set) with Kevin Costner !! Thank you for this one .Ps. When are you Comming to montana lots of history up here. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA......
Randell lost the trial because one of the MCcoy family members was on the Hatfields side his name was Selkirk MCcoy he was the son of Asa Harmon MCcoy he worked for Devil Anse and this was the second time that they was a hog trial they took a pig a few years before the hog trial you was talking about and you wasn’t very far from where the paw paw tree massacre happened and the three sons are buried not far from the new year cabin burning and massacre and his wife was beaten but they are buried on a descent of Jim Vance’s land and they Was a guy that says he is a descent of the MCcoy family from Nebraska that wanted to bring a big bus of tourists on his land to see the cemetery and it is really close to his house so he said no and he closed it down no one can visit them except for MCcoy family members on Memorial Day and I think they are one more holiday that we can go on but it’s got a pretty marble marker on it before he was going to bring a bunch of people in his yard anyone could go visit them but now you have to show how you are kin to the MCcoy family
Yes. We went to the historic marker that talks about where the McCoy brothers are buried and that it is not it the correct location bc it is private property which only allows visits 2times a year by family members. That is sad. Thank you for your comment and your family.

My goodness! You did a great job with that. I always wondered what got it all started and how it ended. Very interesting and I'm sure there are Hatfields and McCoys sprinkled all around the area today. I love that they gather for a "family" reunion. Thank you for all the information and for showing us the sites where things took place.
You did such a great job accurately and entertainingly telling this epic story. My mothers family hails from this area that we call Gods country. Again, great job.
