In most places I have lived and visited the blinkers are very illegal and falls under laws surrounding "imitation of emergency vehicle". I thinks its high time that the same happens here. When I as a motorist see flashing lights in my rear view I do what I can to fee up the lane and allow the emergency vehicle to pass, the more fake emergency vehicles the less likely people are to let vehicles pass and for good reason.
Aren't blinkers and sirens supposed to be for emergency vehicles only? The owners of these unarhorized/private vehicles should also be cited for these violations.
The only vehicles that should be authorized to use blinkers /strobe lights are: 1. Police cars/police motorcycles 2. Ambulance 3. Firetrucks That's it! No exceptions! No private vehicles, No company vehicles, No government "official" or government employee vehicles should have blinkers/strobe lights & sirens!
It never stops surprising me how the traffic laws are so lax in The Philippines, if you put emergency blinkers on a private car anywhere else in the world, you would be arrested for impersonating a first responder, put in front of a judge and have your vehicle confiscated. Its really time they started tightening the laws and enforcing them.
our goverment is improving the violations for blinkers and sirens they are getting charged 5k correct me if im wrong but the second time ur caught ur license will get suspended
@@Kenzoo_22nd time?!? It should be the 1st time offense and confiscate their license and vehicle right there and then. Don't give me that 2nd time offense crap.
I just love this... I drive my own car/SUV and I never had an inch of thought to drive in EDSA busway despite the heavy traffic. I really like this.... those BS violators should pay more... at least P5K to P10K.
Try 25k minimum fine or more. In most countries outside PH, very heavy fines, impounded vehicle, and prison time are common penalties for impersonating an emergency vehicle (police, ambulance, firetruck). No private citizen or government "official" or employee should have blinkers/strobe lights on their cars.
@@christopher001 -- in general, it should actually be imprisonment for impersonating a person of authority.
There needs to be really severe penalties for the use of those flashing “police” lights on vehicles. The amount of times i have seen other vehicles swerve to get out of their way nearly causing accidents as well as other motorists being bullied out of the way is insane. It’s tantamount to impersonating a police officer which in many countries carries very severe punishments. Same as displaying government agency stickers. MMDA should stop the nice guy approach and start doing the zero tolerance approach. They should also inconvenience the violators by making them remove them on the spot before continuing.
Do your best not to be bullied especially if you're not doing anything improper. Just be cool but alert and all other drivers would likely follow your example and try to accommodate what you need to do.
I agree impersonating police vehicles by having the blue and red blinkers should be illegal. There should be 3 levels of penalties - 1 fine and a warning of the lights to be removed 2 if caught again - bigger fines with removal of lights on the spot 3 if caught two times but ignored all warnings n fines - should be suspension of licence n vehicle will be impounded. Sorry just my thoughts lol
good work sir...yan lang ang tanging paraan madisiplina yang mga abusading may mga pwesto ata sa goberno o yung mga nag uumapaw na pera na akala nila pwede sila kahit saan...mabuhay kayo mga sir...kayo ang kauna unahang didisiplina sa mga motoristang mga abusado...
Are they also being fined for the red and blue blinkers too? I remember there being some type of code that prohibits certain types of after-market vehicle accessories to be installed on vehicles.
There should be a law banning those blinkers on Private Vehicles and the sellers. I also see those in Davao City. These violators has found a loophole to evade traffic jam, even though they don't have police or traffic personnel escort. It's a new modus. DILAG and Hazard-Hazard are new the gangs. 🤣
I thought I stumbled upon an old video of yours when I heard you say 'Merry Christmas.' But when I checked the post date, it was only 6 hours ago. Then it hit me - today's September 1st! LMAO
Just my two cents: I think that it's about time that our laws put into consideration the dynamics involved in the violations being committed. in my opinion, it will be a more effective deterrent if the penalties being imposed are commensurate not just with the violation per se but with the behaviour or the motivation behind the action as well. A huge percentage of traffic laws violations are committed consciously with genuine ignorance being just the exception. If those who are not supposed to use the bus lane deliberately choose to despite the signs (and the fact that it's supposed to be a well-known rule by now) are given harsher penalties by virtue of the conscious choice that they made, they will more likely to stop doing so. It's not like someone coerced them to enter the bus lane when they're not allowed to use it. Their choice to commit the violation was done on their own volition, that's the behavior that needs to be corrected and considered in imposing the penalty. Up the penalty another level if there's usurpation of authority committed (blinkers/stickers). Up it yet another level if the offender tried to evade apprehension. Another level if the offender attempted to intimidate the apprehending officer through name dropping etc.
You're correct. I don't know what the first fine would be, but make the second offense 10K and third offense 20K and any offense afterward impounding, license suspension for six months and I'm sure it will cut down on repeat offenders.
There should not be any 2nd or 3rd offense. 1st time penalty of minimum P50k fine, impound vehicle, and jail time which are common in most countries outside PH for Impersonating emergency vehicles (police, ambulance, firetruck). All Private vehicles and All government "officials" /Government employee vehicles should be banned for having blinkers /strobe lights. No exceptions!
I am glad to see things like this happening here. I only wish more traffic laws were enforced and more traffic lights and 4 way stop signs installed. Making road rules for motorcycles and tricycles to stay as far to the right side as possible instead of creating traffic congestion across cities. If they don';t want the ticket, follow the rules.
So what happens after a b/w plate vehicles with blinkers are flagged down? Do they get additional fines for the blinkers? How are these treated nowadays?
Is there a limit for repeat violations here? The reason I'm asking is because we've all observed that really expensive cars, and probably really rich people, are the common violators. I'm just thinking, that nothing is stopping them from just committing the violation, paying, and then doing it all over again.
That is why many countries operate a points system on the drivers licence. Each violation incurs points and when the points limit is exceeded the drivers licence is suspended for several months minimum. The Philippines should introduce such a system.
Another satisfying video. These I-Act videos are nice. So much action and nice cars getting pulled over. As a sub driver who follows the rules it's nice to see these apprehensions.
so why not remove the blinkers if they are fake. they are anyways stopping them. In India its a crime to have blinkers on pvt vehicles and they are removed on the spot
30 seconds may sumakay o wala alis kasi pagdating sa ibang stations nagpipila na sila minsan antagal around 10 minutes or more sila nagsasakay imagine pang lima o higit pa yung bus na sinasakyan mo so ilang terminal pa yun mula monumento hanggang PITX. Experience namin last time from PITX to monumento 3 hours kasi walang bantay o timer sa ibang stations. Sana aksyunan ng MMDA or I-ACT. Thank you.
Great content. You can really see the difference from before. Looks like an artery being unclogged. lol Just an observation; officers being too respectful have to look assertive too. There’s a fine line between being assertive and being arrogant and out great officers in uniform needs to assert their authority while looking very good in their uniforms. It goes hand in hand. Cheers GA. Great work.
the problem is some people are too petty and abuse their connection instead of acknowledging their mistake. and those *connections* are encouraging this kind of behaviour.
@@Chernosjk They should just inform the driver right away that they don't need anything except his driver's license. there shouldn't entertain those drivers trying to hand their phones because their connection wants to talk to the mmda.
GA. Many private car with blinkers that were cited for the violation of passing thru the EDSA BUS CAROUSEL. But why is the HPG not doing anything to ask and cite why they have BLINKERS? It is another clear violation of using unauthorized blinkers.
I currently live in the UK. And here, private looking vehicles with blinkers are for police use (unmarked vehicles). Usually those which are for hidden purposes or we just simply call them secret police. If caught using blinkers and vehicle is not registered for police use then its illegal. Dami feeling entitled satin. Feeling pulis, feeling emergency vehicle porket SUV.
The authorities should do their jobs and stop all those that violate road rules, even when you’re not there taking videos of them doing what they’re supposed to be doing!
This is also a very BIG problem in my country, Indonesia, your neighbor... And... it's WORSE than in your country, you can get high quality Chinese or sometimes genuine Whelen or Feniex (USA-made products) siren and strobes easily and affordably, which are really annoying because they're extremely bright and loud. On top of that, with some bribes you can get genuine government/military/police license plate plus the special driving license, oh... you can also get motorcycle escort from police or military.
Forienger they would confiscate the vehicle. No way we get let off with a ticket. Private vehicles with red and blue flashers, which are illegal, no plates installed, total entitled behaviour which is sooo common here.
The traffic enforcer is extremely courteous even apologetic for pulling violators over. It is certainly different when pulled over by the LAPD. That towering figure, cold and stoned-face stare and the right hand ready to pull that side arm. "Can I see your driver's license, registration and proof of insurance please?" Every movement at this point inside the vehicle is watched by the officer any wrong move, you will end up seeing the muzzle of a Sig P226 when you turn towards the officer.
Flashing those blue lights on fake law enforcement vehicles is a felony over here, and arrested immediately. But then again, Philippines...(ang bayan ko 😞)
Iyong signboard ng buslane only dapat dugtungan ng "BUS LANE ONLY-3,000 pesos penalty for violators" 5,000 pesos sa mga private na gumagamit ng bllinkers.✌️
The government should take serious steps in making policy against use of blinkers and sirens. No one should be exempted on this. Only the President and VP should be allowed to use blinkers and sirens other than the Ambulances, Police Mobile, Firetrucks . 😡
If buses are late, even more people will buy cars contributing to more heavy traffic. Same with trains, UV, and jeepneys. Just try to pause and see this perspective. These vehicles need to go back and forth within rush hour but they help remove cars from the highways.
MMDA said that government vehicles can use the bus lane but I think not all. Government can only use the bus lane if theres a emergency, rescue, or event, they can only use it if theres a purpose. Some government vehicles or police vehicles use the bus lane to buy lunch, going home or even for leisure. I think it shouldn't be allowed in the purpose even your in uniform
Bus lane must be for the BUS ONLY. Hindi dapat gawing emergency lane yan. Wala dapat ambulance, police vehicle or any government own vehichle. Pwede kasi sila maipit dyan in the case na may masiraan na bus.
The same general rules of the road, apply nationwide. It just depends whether people want to enforce them. People regularly comment on my videos, saying they wish their local enforcers were as active and strict as what they see in my videos.
First violation the fine should be doubled. Second violation triple it... I live here and fed up with stupidity on the driver's part and disappointed with the governing traffic laws...
Pag may dumaan sa bus line may penalty 1500 to 2000 riyals. Equivalent 30k sa pinas
For those tuning in from abroad (and with a broad 😅) it's Christmas Season here in the Philippines. Started 1 September. Gives the carolers more time to sing for money.
Only in the Philippines were you can see abusive car owners installing illegal red and blue blinkers and think they can get away with it, not only MMDA should issued a ticket, but have them remove this illegal blinkers or double the penalties. Sadly this country is definitely getting worse.
I agree. Although I live in the province and not in the city, it's a law that all motorcycle drivers & their passengers wear a Helmet. I'd say just by looking daily from my terrace on the main road in town, that 95% don't wear a helmet. 😱
I just read that the fine is 1,000P and 10 demerit points deduction, correct me if I am wrong. I think it should be increased to be honest. Why not 5000P and confiscation of licence until you go on a seminar…..how’s that?!?!?!
Am I allowed to use the bus lane driving a private vehicle but I carry a wounded or sick person that I will lead to the hospital. Will I still be ticketed?
those private vehicles with blinkers should be impounded, fined for violation since they are not authorized to have blinkers, those blinkers should also be removed
Those private vehicle why is it they keep going on the bus lane since they already knew its prohibited? salute to our traffic enforcers doing there job❤❤❤❤
