Id give it a 8. I personally thought this movie was pretty good

3/10 It's a crappy and generic war film, where it would have made no difference if the "aliens" were just ordinary human soldiers. As it stands, the alien design isn't very good or well presented, and often only gets seen from a distance in brief shaky cam moments. It's all very dull and cheesy, with terrible music overlaying a montage of action scenes, routinely punctuated by one soldier or another shouting "Go go go" or "Move move move" as debris flies around. I sat through it all, hoping to see something interesting before the end, but nope that's all there was.

I just noticed that after the tank exploded, you could see one of its crew with a rifle trying to fight the aliens but getting killed. That guy had balls.

I watched this somewhat 12 years ago, hell of a last stand it is

as u could see the tank was partially immobilized, probably waiting for an ambush as the alien marching toward them, but they saw the bus crew arrived and started firing

They held out until the end. Good soldiers.

I think we don't do it to that extreme level but we use dogs as soldiers and bond with them to form a pack. I'd why bonds forged in war can be as close or closer than family shared memories of significant moments.

A lot of the deaths in this scene are soldiers they met up with. That’s why their deaths aren’t super consequential, they were nameless to start.

This was definitely not inspired by that lmao. It's a classic sci-fi story of aliens invading. Also in the real Battle of Mactan, it was 1500 indigenous vs about 50 Portuguese. Not 600.

Holy hell, the amount of fucking stupid you just fit into one post is unbelievable. There are not comparable acts and suggest they are is as vile as it is stupid. Suicide bombers blow up civilians to demoralize a people just because they think anyone who doesn't believe what they believe aren't human. That solider sacrificed himself to save his comrades from an alien, genocidal threat. Also, while we're on this topic, you know, maybe, just maybe if people of a certain religion weren't far and wide the most numerous group who do suicide bombings (to the point it's a statistical anomaly when another groups does it) it wouldn't be associated with them. Isn't pattern recognition wild? Sane people tend to think that people who do a thing, do the thing you see them do. But were' supposed to pretend this doesn't happen? Why? Who does this help outside of the suicide bombers? Because they're a different skin color you can't call them out? What? Do you think they're lesser? That they can't control themselves? Because I rather hold them to the same standards I'd hold any other people. Two marines tried to drop before the kids dropped, one fell off and the other one dropped and hit the top of a car but survived. As you can see when the girl was dropped she was caught by one of the Marines that was already down. On top of that, who is going to hold off the opposing Force if you send down all your troops first? Then you have to remember that this is a war, things don't go to plan all the time in the chaos, especially under tremendous fire

@@petrolveins725 yes, it's based in our reality and it's based on an alien invasion that is very similar to us in technology. This isn't a far-fetched idea. Take into consideration that the fifth individual in power down from Joe Biden just stated a week ago that non-human intelligences are here on Earth, the government of the United States has made dealings with non-human intelligences and there are some specific individuals who are not related to government that know about this. In other words an alien species being here on Earth is already potential reality, but that's besides the point. The point is that this reality in this movie is based off of ours so a lot of the physics, the weaponry, how soldiers act and react as all based off our reality. So yes you would expect accuracy when it comes to the reality of the situations presented here when you are up against another species that is on the same level as us in terms of Technology
