In this video we visit Paradise Interchange, a place that sounds like its situated in a tropical paradise with coconuts and palm trees. In reality though it's just a bus interchange in Adelaide's northeastern suburbs on the O-Bahn guided busway. Here at this paradise for busspotters we see various Light City Buses including the usual assortment of O-Bahn buses Scania K230UB's, Scania K280UB's & Scania K320UA's. We also see a couple of MAN SL202 CNG's, MAN NL202 CNG's, MAN NL232 CNG's and Scania L94UB's.
Paradise Interchange opened on the 9th March 1986 as the terminus of stage 1 of the O-Bahn guided busway, and is the second station on the busway, located around 6km from Adelaide City. The interchange is served by most O-Bahn services, and also features various access routes, allowing some O-Bahn services to leave or exit the busway and continue their routes on the local street network. It also features terminating facilities for other routes that feed into the interchange. The busway was later extended to Tea Tree Plaza Interchange as part of stage 2 which opened on the 20th August 1989.
