This was fun - thank you! Although I have looked at them over the years, I am not a teardrop camper but I still enjoyed this "tour" of the owners and their modifications. How inventive they are! I am surprised at how many people did practically the exact same change-outs and that the manufacturer has not yet decided to incorporate those into the builds. How silly of them not to have already done, among others: - Heat & A/C directional placements - Side awning & rear kitchen awning design for rain diversion - Kitchen right side modifications & electric placement - Screening receiving channel (and the magnetic screen) Again, thanks for the tour and happy travels to all the participants!
Hi, I have camped in on spot made survival shelters, tents and for the past two years I have the 2021 bushwacker 15 fk, I have camped with full service and off grid for a couple of days last year it was a 4 day off grid, one day with service for three weeks. This year now that I have a bluetti 1500 I am going for the full three weeks off grid! Can’t wait!
Yes I have in addition to my bluetti a 100 watt deep cycle ( not lithium) battery and a suitcase 100 watt solar panel with integrated charge controller. I don’t think we will need more than that as we live pretty much outside when we camp. Which is the aim of camping I think.
Awesome video! I don't have a Bushwhacker trailer but I have a small square drop camper and I really enjoyed all the tips and mods that the owners have done to their rigs.
Great recap of 2022. Class act with great content, although the accessories are costing me a fortune lol. Appreciate the inspiration, keep making the great content.
@@DIYOutdoorLife Haha! Well, yes, I do, but I'm pretty sure that's not gonna pass muster with the better half. She loves our smallish Class C with the handy-dandy bathroom. But I have been winter dreaming about something for solo adventures. That's the next discussion....
Awesome content🎉 cheers to your inspiring videos. Can’t wait to get my teardrop camper soon. Hope to see more of your awesome camper tours. Thank you so much.
some very great ideas going on with all these setups, I am new to this teardrop trailering and am still looking at them and looks like the wood teardrops are very easy to do mods..cheers..
Thanks for watching. Yes, the ability to mod the trailer is a major factor for some teardrop owners. I like that you can spend thousands on upgrades and still be under the price of most teardrops on the market.
2nd time going through the video as I am looking at 2 different types of teardrop trailers. 1) rhe BEAN teardrop for their simplicity. 2) TC. teardrop to do some deep mods.
Great video! I love spending time outdoors too. If you're looking for reliable outdoor gear and backup power products, I highly recommend the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It offers massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets. Plus, it's built tough and waterproof. Check it out!
I think a lot of people do, I definitely saw a bunch with TVs. A lot of IPADs and tablets for sure because they can be put on a stand and then packed away. Smart TVs are pretty nice though.
Hey I want to go to one of those meetups! Those look like a blast. What else did you do other than look at each others campers. LOL How do I find out more information about going to them? Can any camper go?
Great job! My dream life! I wonder if anyone has a home on wheels for a good price for a college bound student leaving parents house. I am looking for vans the size of ups/fedex to hobby up a bedroom discreetly in.
Hey James, I’d have to see what’s happening, I use mine without any problems. Although it’s not as solid as with the jack bolted down, I’m a little more careful and can roll the camper around like before. Is your jack tilted?
@@DIYOutdoorLife hi again. No the jack is straight up and down, and side to side. It works great with the sand pads. My wheel is like a grocery cart caster. Which the wheel axle is off the center line of the jack, causing it to tilt the jack.
I hope someone chimes in, I don't have the exact measurements right now, but it is an "RV queen". It is essentially a slightly smaller version of a traditional queen size mattress, I still use queen size sheets.
@@DIYOutdoorLife I am '6"5 so I am curious as to how I will fit. I just sold my Intech Persue. I have been looking at Intech Lunas but I do like the "blank canvas" these Bushwackers have like the Pursue does.
@@Rattles02 I have met some very tall folks that stay in the Bushwhacker. The cabinet above your head remove with just a couple screws, this seems to be the preferred mod. Once that cabinet is removed, you achieve 6 to 8 more inches of bed space. Some have stuck at pad in there, some have just slid the mattress up.
