Animatic for @tomcardy1 's 'Business Man.' Made by me and my friend Josh Pulsipher. Original Song: • Business Man Patreon link: patreon.com/andythedrewbear_art
@@ProfessionalDumbss I’m happy to see that people are liking the barista inclusion, it’s probably my biggest addition that wasn’t in the original song.
It really doesn't help taht he has to drive a lot and chose an inconspicuous black van to transport his presentation materials. And then his best friend who happens to be a cop kills his wife for some reason. Officer Jackson is really unlucky.
Backstory: Officer Jackson's wife gets shot by the cartel and dies. Jackson wanted to investigate but was forbidden since he was too close to the case. He decides to investigate on his own anyway and plans a meeting with the most likely suspects. He convinces his sniper friend, Dwink Bexon by either calling in a favor or pleading with the fact that Jackson made Dwink the best man at his wedding. Dwink is probably the friend in the group that everyone distances from and talks shit about behind their back so he has been holding a lot of resentment. He killed Jackson's wife to get back at them for making fun of his name at the wedding and used the cartel to cover it up. Jackson was getting too close to the truth so Dwink went along with his revenge plot, despite possibly getting into a lot of trouble with the higher ups, hoping that it would get Jackson to stop looking.
(gasp) So he really technically _wasn't_ a cop, and accidentally got his revenge by disowning his traitor best man before being gunned down in a sting?
The way the expressions perfectly matched a cartoony version of everything everyone was saying really added a lot to the song. Way to elevate a piece with your work.
Can someone tag Tom Cardy?? This is incredible. You added so many fun details. I love Ben flashing his own wedding ring and when Bill and Ben start trying to patiently explain why this plan isn’t working
this made me understand parts of the lyrics I'd never quite understood before (non native English speaker here), which I think speaks volumes about how good your story telling is! Very effective and fun art style (I especially liked the shape of the co-a-ehm, business man legs) and perfectly coordinated with the music, both in rhytm, lyrics and general vibe
What actually happened is I drew all the characters separately from the background in Toon Boom. My friend made the 3d models afterward and I didn’t want to redraw the characters so I just took screenshots of the 3d model and imported them into the animatic.
Wonderful animatic!! I feel like this deserves more views, and i feel like, like the perception check animation, will get picked up by Tom Cardy! But great work! I'm excited to see if there'll be an animation!
How, with a video reaching 21K views, and an amazing art style, do you ONLY have 200 subscribers???? Now I'm undoubtedly one of them, but you deserve so much more attention!
I've been meaning to make an animatic of this song since forever and you pretty much nailed everything I was hoping do do in it, up to and including the eerily contextual business slides LMAO
pretty cool animation, but i noticed a mistake. for some reason, business man jackson is listed as "officer jackson" at the end? dude's not a cop, he's a business man.
You can tell that the businessman isn't a cop by how he tells the sniper to take the shot and then immediately gets in really close to the target and starts dancing around. Not cop behavior.
