In this video, I bust 3 well known softball myths! I am going to be posting every single Saturday for the rest of the year, so if you like the video go ahead and subscribe for more content! God bless y’all, I love y’all! -MG
5:12 I was so excited to hear this bc I play basketball, softball, hockey, volleyball, soccer, etc. so I was pumped bc I haven’t heard that in a longgggg time
I get so excited when I see you post something new. I love watching your vids sm. You actually got me into softball and now I'm very interested. Keep it up!
When using the Hittrax cage at d-bat you gotta use the further plate. The machine doesn’t pickup from the front plate well for whatever reason. My daughter had the same issue until we figured it out.
As a guy I played baseball from 8 to 21. Then switched to fastball ( softball ) played in competitive mix F-M teams. Depending what on talent of a pitcher their about the same to hit. I'm a shortstop I find pitching to first depends on the distance but easier to throw the smaller ball for my hand. But always wondered who the hell decided on why the girls go the bigger ball? Usually they have smaller hands, did not get the logic . Keep up the cool vids. Thank you
Morgan , I love your content and you’re very good at softball I also feel the same with volleyball like people don’t respect sports they don’t like or they don’t think it’s good but other people do so you need to respect volleyball as much as other sports too just like you need to respect softball , like they might not be soccer or basketball or football but it’s still important to other people.
At 5:10 I do agree with you I love basketball, I play basketball on two teams the Springfield lions and Mo Flight. I want to try softball out though. Your an amazing softball player, god bless you!
Hi! I had softball tryouts a few days ago and it is my first time playing. I am ok at batting but not catching. Is there any tips? I would really appreciate it!! Love your vids!
Hi Morgan!!! I just made the high school team for softball and I’m in 7th grade I was just wondering what are your best tips for a 7th grade softball player trying to work their way up? Also I LOVE your videos!!!!
The lumps on my shins from pitching in slowpitch leagues can confirm softballs most definitely are not soft. They should be marked with their bounce back percentage and PSI compression rate
I always think it’s unfair to compare softball and baseball. They’re both difficult sports to play and though they seem similar they are two very different sports. Softball is faster, more compact and I feel harder to get a hit because the field is smaller and in softball, “small ball” and slappers play a huge part in the game. Baseball fields are larger, more space to place a hit, however baseball really is a game within a game, runners may lead off, more pitches and its way slower than softball, “small ball” is becoming less existent in baseball and there are no slappers. I love both sports, I think the men and women who play both at the highest level are some of the most amazing athletes in the world.
“It’s no basketball” *me, a person who would say basketball is no softball* But everyone can have their opinions just commenting it because I thought it might be funny 😂
hey! there’s always people selling softball ball gear second hand that’s always more affordable and in a price range you’re looking for, it’s just knowing where to look. if you have softball friends who have old gear they’re willing to lend/sell/get rid of that’s good too but also facebook marketplace is a nice alternative as well. my parents play in a slow pitch league and their softball friends are always getting rid of gloves, batting gloves, cleats, catchers gear, and even bats. just make sure what you’re getting is worth the price and make sure it’s also what you need for your age level (like high school softball uses composite bats etc.) i hope that helps you! :)
I find softball so much more entertaining than baseball. There's a RU-vidr named Michael Turk whose wife is Grace (formerly) Lyons. Yes, THE Grace Lyons. The 3x World Champion, 1st Team All American, All-star shortstop from OU (Michael was a Punter for OU). They were the reason I became an OU fan and I'm glad I did. I fell in love with Softball and would find myself watching every one of the OU softball games. I'd be on the edge of my seat during the playoffs, praying that we came out on top. The amount of runs OU scored late in the 7th in this one playoff game down 7-1 was astounding. They ended up coming back and winning by a bunch, although I forget the details. I say all this to say that I love your content and I love softball.
The baseball is denser so the softball won’t bounce higher unless you throw it harder into the ground. Also the reason a softball doesn’t travel as far as a baseball.
5 mins being at D-BAT while on the phone with me: "Dude I've got the whole place to myself." 5 mins later after getting off the phone with me she sends a text saying: "People literally just showed up😂"
When softballs were first invented in the 1800s they were originally soft that's why it's called a softball but throughout the years they have changed the way they're made:)
@@MorganGaither12 I know the feeling. Regardless, you have kept your head high it seems, and you are doing a great job with your channel. I enjoy what you do, so keep up the great work!🤙
Lmao probablly in the infield. And she said a softball moves more, but there is only fastball, change, rise , curve. Baseball has 4s fb, 2s fb, cutter, slider, curve, change, split, sweeper.
I haven't been hit in the face with a softball yet but I was hit in the face with a baseball one time by my Dad don't worry it was an accident and my fault because I didn't catch the ball 😂
…don’t reply to this…you’ll make me embarrassed and flustered…but I think you’re gorgeous as all hell and I’m not a hot dilf, but I think I’m kinda good looking and I might be older than you 😆😂 …anyway, love you, byyyeee ❤️
An opinion can’t be wrong brother bear 😂 I said that multiple times in the video too. Opinion isn’t objective truth, it’s subjective. Changes per person.
