What's up, everyone! Had a short flight (47nm) from PNS to BFM. The FBO at PNS was PACKED with people running all over the ramp. Hope you enjoy this short flight. Insta- / mullin.henry Tik Tok- www.tiktok.com...
Old man full of admiration for your self assured, youthful compatance. I might have been brave over many things in life but flying has always terrified me! Good luck with your young life kiddo!!!
Great video, Henry! It's nice to see a RU-vidr flying a Bonanza around my part of the country and not just places out west. And you know who I'm talking about ;-) Keep up the good work! I look forward to more of your flight vlogs. Couple of things: I did not know that they changed the name of Mobile Downtown Airport to Mobile (ahem) **International.** I guess that's in anticipation of the Big Switch of the airlines over from the city's 'other' airport, Mobile Regional, which is closer to Mississippi than to Mobile, and was a mistake building it way out there in the first place. Which they now admit. Funny story: Here in Pensacola, forever and ever, our airport was called Pensacola Regional. But then we got a mayor who thought our image was too "small town" and wanted to turn us into Ft. Lauderdale. So he changed the name to Pensacola International Airport. Sounds big-time, right? Trouble is, we don't have any international flights in or out of here. But we do have Customs for overseas arrivals so I guess that qualifies us as an "international" airport. Yeah. (At least they don't call it "International" on the radio.) This same mayor didn't like the fact that we only had a small bar/restaurant in the terminal, so he promised us we'd get a name-brand fast-food place. We knew we weren't big enough to rate a McDonalds (we're not a 24-hour airport), but we figured we'd get a second-tier joint like maybe Arby's or a Krystal. What did he get us? Chick-fil-A. A friggin' Chick-fil-A! On one of the busiest travel days of the week (Sunday), Chick-fil-A is closed. So, tourists leaving our town on Sundays have limited options if they want to grab lunch before their flight out. Genius! Ah, that's small-town thinking for you! Another thing this (departed) mayor did was plant a crap-ton of palm trees at the airport. Palm trees are not native to this part of Florida and struggle here. But when tourists come to Florida, even to sub-tropical Pensacola, by God, they want to see palm trees! And so now, they do. Our airport looks like Miami International. But as soon as you leave the airport in an Uber, all you see are Live Oaks and pine trees, which **do** grow here in abundance. Small-town fun and games, eh?
You can do it. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise! Live your dream. I flew as a pax with my best friend growing up. He started flying at 16. Ended up flying the 777 all over the world, never wanting for anything. You must have a passion for flying, then it’s not just a job. But it really gets in your blood and becomes a lifestyle, and it’s worth the effort. He retired from AA a few years ago. He is now flying private/charter for an oil billionaire in Dallas. All the best to you!
Nice Henry. The technology you have is amazing. I was charter flying at 19 back in 1977 in East Africa. With 800 hours I was flying a Partenavia P68B. Despite being a twin it only did 140K and of course no GPS in those days!
Very professional, great to see a young person doing it right. The future of aviation is in good hands here. Newest subscriber - retired military CH-53 D/E pilot and former NAS Whiting Instructor. Keep it up!
Confident and competent. Carry on like that and you'll go on to greater things if you so wish. I like the way you examined your turn and landing, aware of things you might do different next time, the sign of a good pilot. Keep flying, keep learning and enjoy your trips. 👍
I’m like way impressed 💥🙌 Commercial / multi engine here, Your skill level and how your present yourself and awareness , professional , great detail is out of the park 💥💪 Do you fly RC by chance ?
Hi Henry, super nice videos and so good to see you flying a high performance complex airplane so young. I’ll bet your videos will be closely watched by recruiters, so keep doing what you are doing, flying professionally every flight. Good use of checklists, out loud just like you are doing. Just positive reinforcement here. You will have a very successful flying career for what I can see.
I like your style Henry. Good attitude in the cockpit. Haven’t watched very many of your videos but so far so good. Don’t push for anything out of bounds.
Professional, calm and focused when you have to. To thinking out loud helps to reinforce learning. I appreciate the transparency with the red and white light on approach: nothing is perfect every time and it's great to own imperfection to progress. Smooth ride...
I look at your face, and then hear your skill level, whoa, boy, you are the bright and shining star in the sky, and a handsome one at that! Your potential is off the charts, another Elon or even better: you make us all so proud... keep it up!
Hi Henry greetings from Australia. Wow! Really enjoyed this video. Also impressed of course with all the tech and how you so seamlessly are able to use it all. I’ve now subscribed so will be looking forward to more. Cheers. Warwick
That plane at the beginning - N738FY. I used to fly that all the time with my friends and family from a club, then it got sold! It's a 172 with a constant speed prop. I miss it... Go figure it's now here. Used to be in San Diego.
Hey man! I am based out of KPNS, I fly the "Bolo" cessna's for the military. Aka "Bolo7ZN" if you've ever happened to see them. Super cool video and always enjoy seeing your vids that include KPNS. Lunch is on me if you're ever around!
Hi Henry, Delta Air Lines pilot here. Very impressed with how you manage the cockpit and your attention to detail. If the airlines are in your future, make sure you apply with us. Keep logging those hours!
Are you planning for flying commercial as a career, I hope! You already look and sound like a seasoned commercial airman. Congratulations my friend. It’s a great career. All the best to you on whatever you choose to pursue.
Good stuff Henry - sub'd. I began flying in my early twenties. I then got my A&P thinking maybe I would go to Alaska. I ended up staying mostly in New England and eventually went to NetJets. I flew a Citation for five years and then left aviation in 2001 for a law enforcement career. I am now retired from that and back in aviation. I work as a pilot and A&P for a small airline in New England, and I'm having a good time. I'm sure your viewers would enjoy hearing your goals in aviation. I know I would. I think this is a good time to be a young pilot. Stay professional, and I wish you all the best!
I did all my 2 leg cross countries to Mobile Downtown in a 172, got my license in 2009 and started flying my dad’s Warrior 3 that he kept at Stennis International.
I just finished up flight traning over at NAS Pensacola in the T-1A and those beautiful VMC days can definitely get a little hectic along the coast there but you handled it like a pro. Flown through and landed in PNS, MOB, BFM, etc many a time but it was really cool to get to see it from the general aviation side of things. Great video!
Hey Henry, sorry but I looked up your name in wikipedia and Bing A.I. about your life and how you manage to be a great pilot and in a Beech no less. They said stuff about a Mullin, arrested by cops years ago, bad dude and a Mullin that was on the Mayflower passenger list. But nothing on a smart and mature young fella we see here. Do you have a story somewhere for us video geeks?
Hi from the UK. Cool video. Well done. I wish we got the weather your getting to fly in . Poor flying weather currently here in the UK. Thanks form sharing.
Greetings from Manchester U.K. Henry - it’s wonderful and a really positive step forward to see someone so young having the commitment and determination to start a career in aviation as a pilot - growing up in Ireland at that age, I never had those chances, so fair play to you - and flying out of the famous Pensacola as well - Best Wishes 🇮🇪☘️🇬🇧🇺🇸❤️🙏
Henry wont reply but where can we see how he got to this position of such qulity and maturity and what is his business? I cant even do this stuff in the flight simulator lol. By the way Henry, Im #169 LIKE! And I subbed awhile back, good to go !
Its so nice to see a young man doing what he likes and for from across the water in the UK. The senary is fantastic. Your air pockets makes it so easy as here from different levels makes it less easy. But great to watch young man so keep the good work up.
There is no age limit to fly left seat with a CFI. I've been flying with family since I was 2 and first time left seat when I was 12. Then I soloed this Bonanza all over at 16. The 18 year age cap is for commercial operations
Another great video. Good luck on the upgrade install. I have an F33A with a 750/G3X Touch/G5 standby and want to add a 650 as well, but man are avionics pricey haha.
Henry this is sick. I live out of PNS, also own a plane out in Pcola. Was just talking about you last night with some locals. Good to see brother. Thinking of a GA formation flight later this year if you come back
@@SnickasBahnope only reason to go to Alabama is to marry a sibling. How do you recognize a family from Alabama? When their family tree is the recycling symbol.
did you get your private and instrument on the same day or how did u did it cus im 15 and ive done all ground school and done basically all things required for ppl and im slowly getting into instrument so i can keep learning new things. should i try to get both in the same week or fly a bit with my ppl then get my instrument.
Correct I did both same day my 17th bday. If you are proficient and understand the PPL stuff definitely start on the instrument. And if you can fly enough to get all the requirements for both checkrides definitely do it. There’s no cons and only pros to it. Having your instrument rating has been a huge blessing and has made me a much safe pilot.
i’ve done a lot of flying with mainly vfr related stuff in the past year and honestly feel proficient with alll the airspace’s requirements airmets segmets all the time weather stuff n most my ppl stuff. I’m going on my 3rd cross country this weekend only paper charts no garmin js good old ndbs and adfs so i’m kinda grooving into doing more advanced instrument stuff. we’re also working on approach plates and stuff which is honestly quite easy because i fly on the sim a lot so i think it wont be as hard for me to learn everything.
