A great moment is how Lois told the boys they had more important things to worry about but still took the time to acknowledge their problems and not gloss them over.
Right. I laughed when Jonathan referred to Jordan as "Don Draper over here." LOL. I'm like what do you know about Don Draper? Also, I love Clark's expression when he realized Jordan kissed Sara. He is like, "OK!"
I think there chemistry playing a married couple is great. And they make them realistic they don't make them do pathetic petty nonsensical arguments like oliver and felicity or barry and iris.
Barry and iris hardly argue and olicity way to much but when barry and iris did over nora there acting from candace and grant was really good especially grant..
exactly, she's doing her own thing on her own level and killing it. this is how you make a strong female character without give in to the crazy on Twitter and or Reddit.
@@HELLO_KORO Ofc they are. But only in terms of their marriage. She can be a killer reporter just like Lois - but leave all the superhero stuff to Barry because he is The Flash
. So he's got only a fraction of Kal-El's power . . . but Superman is actually ABSURDLY powerful anyway. Even a tiny fraction of his power, even a thousandth of it, would be more than enough to save the world many times over.
Can we talk about how the Camera shows Clark’s heartbreak at the idea that he’s the only one of his kind. Like show don’t tell. So good and then Clark puts his own pain aside for his sons and Jordan didn’t even notice that he isn’t the only one hurting and that’s so true to teenagers omg I’m so impressed with this show so far. I hate the arrow verse but I love this show so far. Here’s to hoping it doesn’t let me down
not to mention I love how Lois is off doing her own thing. Her story isnt just I am here to be the other half of superman. I can not get over how well this is made. Reminds me of first seasons of arrow.
@@shehryarkhan4222 No im pretty sure that got destroyed in crisis, and the only world in the multiverse that got restored with all the same humans was what is now earth prime.
@@t3chn070 argo City is in the earth prime universe, Kara directly mentions it when she and Barry did a universe comparison check (she and Barry walked into the arrow bunker stating everyone in the universe had been saved including argo)
This show does a really great job at portraying Superman, Clark Kent and Lois Lane, it really amezes me how good the lead actors are, specially Tyler Hoechlin, just wow. The kids are both really great actors too, altough I get why people think Jordan is annoying, I think that's kind of the point and for that I applaud the actor, even though I would appreciate less shouting lol. Jonathan is great too, the actor does a really great job at portraying the supportive brother role.
I do think Jordans powers will be limited compared to Clark's simply on the grounds he isnt full Kryptonian (Superboy has the same issues), however I think when he get emotional his powers will kick on in sort of a survival fight or flight mode thing and alot of this series will be Clark not only having to be Superman but him also trying to teach his Son how to control his powers and his emotions which givin his Social Anxiety Disorder is going to be very difficult
Nah Jorel knows of kryptonian DNA, the boys are unique they have mixed/hybrid DNA, Jorel wanted to see Jordan repeat the heat vision and assumed it was a one time thing, but after finding out Jordan has hearing he's now sure Jordan has emerging powers Its Jonathan that Jorel will now doubt as having powers
Anger is one way to trigger powers. But powers can also appear when they need it the most to protect themselves or someone they care about. After all, Jordan's strength and laser eyes kicked in when Jonathan's life was threatened.
If you read a comic book you'd know that Jon (Clark and Lois son from the comics) can only manifest his powers in times of extreme emotional responses. He eventually learnt to control it and became the future Superman. I'd be heavily disappointed if that's what we got, an evil super son it would be overdone and super cliche, like most of the CW shows, thankfully this one isn't following the same formula so far
Anger is a instinctual trigger. its an easy access to abilities and strength. Much like the fire nation in Avatar The Last Air Bender, it is a easy alternative to fully teaching the powers. if improperly taught it becomes a liability.
I actually like "ocular blast" way better than "heat vision" - it's less misleading that way. "Heat vision" implies he's shooting beams of concentrated heat out of his eyes, but the power usually doesn't look like heat and can do quite a few things that heat simply can't (like have a beam clash with another Kryptonian's "heat vision").
@@Tantalus010 He IS shooting beams of concentrated heat from his eyes. He can reignite a star, slice through a planet, cook a planet, melt the surface of a planet down to its core, weld any substance or perform super complex brain surgery. It is not and never has been "ocular blasts" of pure force, that's Cyclops. Superman can moderate the amount of power he outputs so that the beams can strike with physical force or act like a warm ray of sunshine.
@@danielhausser8038 No, the beams become visible based on the power level, when used on a low concentrated scale, they are pretty much invisible, but when released full power, they are giant bright red/orange beams. I looked into this one specifically for a very long time.
I think Jon as a true reason to be upset. Clark might end up with a Avatar Aang complex. Give alot more of his attention to Jordan. This with him trying to save the Earth just puts Jon on the back end as well as gives more responsibility to Jon to oversee and clean up his brothers messes.
Nah, I think it was probably fine. Clark: So, hey, Jordan, if you want to talk about what happened back there while we fly home, I am right here and willing to...oh look at that, we're already here.
The boys have powers when together john saved jordon in the barn and jordon saved john during the fight. They have to be together for powers t fully work. They are twins. I am calling it now
It was clearly shown later that John came to save Jordan at the barn but in the last second Jordan turned and shielded him instead. John's powers haven't manifested yet
I believe the human dna is supressing the kryptonian. But when his adrenaline goes way high just the kryptonian powers come out. Just like a mother who can lift a car if her child is in danger
In the comics, it's been discovered kryptonians can trigger their powers via a kryptonian adrenaline surge, the Supergirl show even did an ep focusing on it which ironically was inspired by the comic event I'm referring to
The event in question was based on Clark discovering his heat vision was a pre cursor to a mega flare, the more energy he used to power his heat vision, the more energy he used up, if he drained himself, he literally lost his powers, and the only way to get them back was to trigger an adrenaline surge
Because they making out like Jon has no powers but will probably end up showing them later. Taking him there would ruin the shock value for the show if they can scan him and see he does have increased abilities
Because it will ruin the reveal that Jon can store solar energy, but can't use it. Every time you see Jordon use his powers his brother is right there.
I have a hunch that Jordan's powers are developing more slowely than Clark's did on account of his half-human physiology. He'll get his powers. They may take a while to fully awaken, but he will get them in the long run.
That makes alot of sense, half the other comments here are just "ThEy aRe TwInS So tHeY hAvE To uSe tHeM/Be tOgeThEr fOr tHeM To WoRk" or some stupid shit like that.
@@le7cz161 pre crisis, it was meant to be one baby boy. Then at the end of the event, Clarks flying home talking to Lois on the phone and she mentions something to do with "their Boys"
I think this might be the case only because it seemed SOOO glaring for Clark not to take both boys. Unless of course, the writers had to do it this way for us to think Jordan had weak powers.
God why is it that Jordan cries like a little baby when things don´t go his way? "im not special so im gonna cry" This is gonna get real old real fast.
That's the world nowadays - everyone trying to spread this lie that everyone's special little snowflakes. Only few are lucky enough to be considered special in the world, like Clark. Here's the brutal truth - you want to be special? Don't stay indoors playing video games.. For the rest, the only way to BE special is to work hard and grind. Like Bruce Goddamn Wayne.
Im glad thag from ive seen this show is t very preachy like the other cw shows where two characters will talk about some emotional or mental problem and then it will cut to two different characters doing the same thing. Thos show has very natural and normal arguments and emotional scenes
Jor-el was wrong about the boys not having Powers so he might be wrong again on his powers growing. The human condition is that we struggle to master our ourselves and our environment and eventually succeed
Does anyone sympathizes with Clark? It's hard for a parent to accept that your child will never be better than you. It is natural for normal and healthy parents to provide a better living condition for their children in comparison to when they were raised, and in turn expect their children to exceed them and be a better person. By AI Jor El telling him that Jordan will never be his equal, it's just a huge slap in the face to Clark. Clark being the last Son of Krypton and the inheritor of the Kryptonian legacy just makes it a thousand time worse.
If Clark wants his son or both of his sons to be more like him, he needs to go the the one human that has successfully created a halfbreed Kryptonitian and that is Lex Luther
I’m getting a feeling that Jonathan’s power will emerge really powerful. While Jordan is just more human withholding a bit of kryptonion DNA. However, when Jordan and Jon are together I sense that they are the strongest...
@@ImperialStreak not true jonathan's powers have been shown in the very first episode when they were kids ... And when the football hits the tire swing
@@GabeRealTalk I think they both have them and need to be together for them to work, but Jordan has just manifested them first. Any time jordan's powers have been shown it was to protect jonathan or while jonathan was present. Also, if they're planning to bring in crisis it could be because prior to crisis we only had jonathan not the twins. So maybe it has to do with them going from one to two.
I like the idea that Kal-El's offsprings will never be as strong and as powerful as he is. Superman is Superman. Of course Jordan is still very strong by human standards and Jonathan could be too in the future. Jordan's strength must be the equivalent of two strong Olympic athletes. Jordan and Jonathan may never lift a car over their heads, but they can definitely hold their own against ordinary people. Especially bullies.
Never be like you can be encrypted in different ways. Obviously Jordan has powers. So likely that statement means there's a possibility Jordan might become a villain. I haven't even watch the show because I want to see if it's going to end up being like Smallville which I think it might. Due to the fact Sarah is just like her mother version from Smallville. Jordan is basically Lex Luthor. Jonathan is basically Tom Welling Clark Kent. I'm pretty sure it's going to happen the same way Jonathan ends up with Sarah and Jordan becomes crazy jealous. I could honestly see Jonathan as Superboy not Jordan. Frankly I would have loved if it turned out that Sarah's ex-boyfriend was Captain Luther from the future and the Superman he's trying to kill is evil Jordan for killing Sarah. I just feel like this show will be so much better if it was less Lois and Clark and more of Jonathan and Jordan's life in high school.
Remember in an episode of season 1 of Supergirl where everyone in National City got hypnotized and Superman did too probably because he was raised human that he got hypnotized. So I think since Superman was raised human and so did his kids, Jonathan and Jordan, that might be why he might not have enough strength to have the full powers like Superman.
Looking back now, one wonders what might have happened if Jordan and Jonathan had actually grown up in Smallville and been exposed to the X-K. Surely turning them into Kryptonians would have been a lot easier than altering pureblooded Humans.
