Yep, there's no point in keeping all of milestones, don't want to be the "OMG THANKS FOR 100K GUYS!!!" type. Just.. One million. It really is something, isn't it? I just wanted to thank all of you for continuous support and bringing one of my dreams to life. It really means a lot for me. There's a lot of responses beneath that comment, so if you want to check out the chronological order of sudden views burst - feel free to read it
Here’s the thing. Undyne’s theme of “Battle against a true hero” fits her perfectly, title and all. Because in her speech of “I will fight for everyone” she says “This isn't just about monsters anymore, is it? If you get past me, you'll... You'll destroy them all, won't you? Monsters... Humans... Everyone... Everyone's hopes. Everyone's dreams. Vanquished in an instant. But I WON'T let you do that. Right now, everyone in the world... I can feel their hearts beating as one. And we all have ONE goal. To defeat YOU. Human. No, WHATEVER you are. For the sake of the whole world... I, UNDYNE, will strike you down!” She realizes she isn’t only fighting for monster kind now, but for humanity as well. She realizes that you aren’t human anymore, but something born from the depths of hell, a TRUE monster of neither race. She is the definition of a TRUE HERO. One that fights for a world that loves her, and fights for a second that doesn’t care for her entire race. She will protect it all, because if you get past her, you’ll keep going until nothing’s left. She is determined to win, she is the embodiment of justice, and by god she’s gonna try her hardest.
And that's why this will always be better than the sans' fight. Because the character goes way deeper, it's not about the two of you fighting or protecting anyone anymore, it's about the entire world summoning all it's Good and empowering Undyne to fight off the Evil which is you, from destroying everything. It just feels wrong to actually fight her and win but alas since you're controlling the "protagonist" she'd never win. A rare instance where Evil actually wins.
I love how the first half sounds like it's building to this massive drop but then it just sort of dies, the slowly it builds again but now with everything it possibly can use, but once again it cuts and only the piano is playing, like the last cry of someone so determined they would rip their body apart just to finish what others could not.....well done
In a 1v1 sans would get insta crushed sans would take about 12 mins to kill undyne keeping the attacks always on her on the other hand undyne the undying can end sans in about... 30 seconds
"But the Earth Was Determined" implies that the determination of every single being, every plant, every animal, every human and monster, and perhaps even the spirit of Gaia herself is flowing into Undyne, empowering her for the sole purpose of bringing you, the destroyer's end. And frankly, if I had the capacity to make an AU, I'd do that.
But if that happened, she would have the power to save and reload, which, quite frankly, would suck for the player... But they deserve it for doing genocide anyways.
Undyne The Undying single-handedly ended my genocide run. I spent four straight days attempting the fight, but I could never keep track of the yellow spears. I deleted the save file, Undyne won. She was the hero of the underground, and I love her for it.
what a fucking hero ;-; i love her. there are a few moments in that game that just really hurt. they get so deep under your skin that a knife would blush. the moment with the spider child coming back with a rose for muffet and the part with this music blasting while i fight a character i really love just to see what suffering my actions will bring upon characters i love. it fucking sucks and because of that it makes it a truly unique and enjoyable experience. i'm very sorry undyne. I should have just died, you really were the true hero.
@@killthem9669 Did it better, I'd say. I quit the No Mercy Route because I could never quite get past her, but I'm fairly certain with Sans, I'd simply keep at it until I power through- I played a simulator of his battle for fun, and while not the same, it did get my brain to go "Yeah, if I can get past her, I can win." Yet that lil bundle of pixels and data managed to do what I'm pretty sure Sans couldn't- Made me give up and decide "Alright, I'll restore the happy ending!"
random fact: I forgot what it was called, but there was a battleship that was ordered by the captain to flood half the ship so they could tilt, therefore being able to hit their target
Suddenly remixes of Undertale music appear on my list. I get addicted and click on some Megalovania fuckery. Yotube thinks that's the things I like so it keeps feeding me. I click frantically more so. And it goes on.
I just realised that it's sad when you remember that Undyne gives you a spear to protect yourself even if the world's at stake. This gives you a fair fight but you don't give Undyne a fair fight because you can come back to life and besides, even if you were to die for real in the game, Undyne would've melted due to the determination. I just thought about this while eating a bagel and that has nothing to do with the Undyne talk...
@Jay Butler nah, I don't remember how it tasted. I remember how it was like because that's how I have all my bagels. Just a heated up bagel with nothing on it.
Still blows my mind thinking about how she had determination equivalent to a Human soul. It may have been too strong that she melted and may not have been able to turn back time but the fact she came back to life by Determination and transformed into something strong all because of the strength of her Determination was impressive. Especially because Alphys say something like that should be impossible.
It's the Undyne fight that makes you realise humans are more monstrous than we appear to be and monsters are more humane than they appear to be. We're not so different. We both eat, drink, sleep. We both have fun. We both feel sad. We both fight for who we care for... and we both wish to *live* . But of course not you, you have stripped your self to the bare basics of survival. You're no hero. You are no human, no monster, not even animal. Only a determined dark soul with an ever bidding vessel.
@@Kenshiro_TR wtf are you talking about, your average citizen isn't some cold blooded psychopath. You make it seem as if there aren't constant political, environmental, social, efforts for a better society.
4 years after Undertale came out... and people are STILL putting together the most amazing renditions if it’s music. A true testament to Toby and the current composers. What a beautiful expression of emotion and music
Battle against a true hero has to be, hands down, one of my favorite Undertale songs ever. It just shows how determined but scared Undyne truly is, sure, same goes with Megalovania, but this just hits me with actual pain, to see her carry all the burdens and pain just to stop someone. It's beautiful, and I respect my lesbian fish warrior.
*You feel an immense presence *It feels like a human soul, no, like thousands of monster souls *It appears to to be resonating from the fish lady *She preaches how she will strike you down like the monster you are *UNDYNE, THE UNDYING* *HERO OF THE UNDERGROUND* *You feel like you're going to have a great time
*As she stood before me, I lowered my head. *Guilt, fear, despair, awe. My head fills weird, and does my heart. My grip on the handle loosened. *I looked up. The savior, the protector. *The heroine. *I feel a hand touching mine, gently squeezing my palm around the knife. *The cold, dusty wind blew against my back, urging me to step forward. *As she raised her spear, I gritted my teeth. There's no turning back. I need to see what happens, I need to see how it ends. *And I shall. *Everything and everyone stood behind her back. *As I turn to look behind mine, there was nothing. *Oh well.
*I gave her a good fight. She deserved to know her efforts weren't wasted. *And then I let her hit me. *I died, and went back. Back to the very beginning. RESET the whole timeline. *Then I followed the other path. The one where everyone lives. *There was something I needed to tell to the Undyne in that reality: *Anime. Is. REAL.
*Resonating through the howling wind, the dust of all you have slain pulses with power, bringing the True Heroine to her feet, determination pulsing from her eye socket, spears of energy forming around her as she turns to you* *You feel the very earth tremble with determination* *You prepare to fight*
97% of the fandom : Megalovania is best! 2.99% of the fandom : No all undyne themes are the best!. Me the 0.01% : Asgore's theme is the best. Doesn't get old :D
This feels like the first time she achieved her true power. When Undyne earned the title of Undying. It has that air of a child stripped of their innocence, with the building power inside of them, bursting at the seams.
I like this because it makes use of a heavy metal sound, which suits the badassery of Undyne perfectly, but it never goes crazy with it. It's... *somber.* Like it reveals the pain and heartbreak she must no doubt be feeling at all the death that led up to this point.
Undyne is my absolute favourite character. She is strong, fast, loyal and honorable. She is the heroine of undertale She fights for what is right. She is determined to protect the monsters, even if it means she has to die for it
I love this! Way too many remixes are just the exact same notes with different instruments plugged in, and maybe an intro/outro. This sounds like a truly transformative piece and that's what remixes are all about!
Yeah the title "But the Earth was Determined" is the coolest title ever. Cause that all it needs to be in order to tell you the full story. I just can't get over how badass a title like that is
A true hero never backs down. A true hero is brave, even in the face of mortal peril. A true hero fights for more than just themselves. *Now how many of those qualities do you have? That’s right, none.*
Hey man, it stinks you aren't affecting a lot of people's heartstrings from your perspective. But I hope you continue down your career of making some remixed music. None of us know your schedule, but I hope you love what you do, and embrace all of the possibilities that await you ahead.
I guess you could say that this remix is different than the rest, because what you see rising just isn’t the power within Undyne. It’s her soul rising from the darkness, now undefeated and UNDYING! The song focuses more towards the soul rebelling against death, this isn’t just any old battle; it’s life or death and the monsters of the underground are at stake.
ITSMONKEY360 the earth refused to die is the name of the song before this in the genocide run of undertale. This remix incorporates parts of both that and BAATH.
Love the trope when everyone despite their differences get together to fight a true monster that’s a threat to everything, not just one side or the other
I never played Undertale but "A memory you always remember, is a moment you want to feel again. Some may not want it for the second time, but as their first time, not knowing the first feeling they felt."
- you oneshot Undyne - - Undyne rises again and become Undyne the Undying- - You kill her once again- - This song kicks in- - Undyne rises once again and become Undyne the Undeniable- - You realize you are screwed-
Legit man the algorithm recommended this song to me when I was on the outs with my girlfriend and it kept me sane as I sorted out a situation that could very easily have turned into a breakup. The earth was determined!
"I may have died once but for every single monster, every single human and all their hopes and dreams. I will take my stand against you. Yes my soul may be shattering but my determination still holds strong." "Your gonna have to try harder then that punk."
Its so melancholic yet It shows the bravery of Undyne at the last moments of her life, melancholic yet it gives some semblance of hope . Great remix I felt so goddamn emotional all of a sudden.
I looked at the views of this video after listening and based off the quality I expected it to have at least a million views and for this guy to have at least a quarter of a million subs Great work dude keep making awesome content like this and you will get tons of subs in no time
not sure if anyone will read this, but this has been my favorite reimagining of "Battle Against A True Hero" for awhile and i realized i never let the creator know this. Stealth Storm i know you don't upload frequently, but just know that your effort isn't going unappreciated :) i hope to see more from you.
I’ve always preferred the Genocide Undyne fight over Sans, if only for the emotion of it alone. The portion of the song that’s winding down has leitmotifs of the neutral end scene where you get a phone call telling you the state the underground was left in. On top of this, the fight feels more..choreographed than Sans? As though you and Undyne are exchanging blows in a proper duel. It shows a lot about Undyne, but also of Sans’ fighting style, which is a nice touch. Undyne has had a lot more structured training than Sans, while Sans is the Everyman that’s trained himself, or someone who’s always had innate ability but for one reason or another, never uses it outside of dire need. Undyne fights fair. Sans doesn’t. Regardless, this was a solid remix. Battle Against a True Hero will always have a special place in my heart, and I wanted to gush about it. ^^
Four years later or 3 months later the theme of the True Hero will never leave our hearts thanks for this amazing remix the discovery of your channel was a blessing
This is by far the most beautiful remix I've heard of this song so far, and I love it!!! Keep it up, I hope you are able to make more of these and become even better
Undyne was such an interesting character In genocide she really wanted to kill the human and free monsters and in pacifist she became our friend, Undyne is one of my favourite undertale characters she is really awesome
*Undyne Is Melting *But She Is Something More *SHE'S DETERMINED* *Undyne Stops Melting* Undyne: I-I will finally strike you down! *Music plays* Edit: WHEN THE HELL I GOT 145 LIKES???? Thanks for the support bois Edit 2: This is a cringy comment I thought no one would see why is everyone here?
I think if Undertale has an animated series (obviously assuming), this battle would be one of the most epic and emotional of the entire series (just like in the game), even without top-notch animation like Avatar.
Undertale logic: fish lady burns down her house making spagett- second hardest boss in game. lazy skeleton with crippling depression- hardest boss to exist🤔🤷♀️
Sans isn't the hardest boss to exist, unless you mean in Undertale. And then, he still isn't, as in Genocide you are the Final Boss, and the npcs are trying to stop you.
@@skunko1871 Dunno, it depends on the genre and the player. The hardest I've fought? I want to say the one from the third world of Bubble Bobble 2 Rainbow Island from the NES, but I was very young and that boss wasn't hard as much as outright unfair. If you like bullet hells, probably anything from Touhou or the old school space ship games would be on the top of the list in that genre.
this feels less like undyne being the final line of defense before you destroy the world as a whole, but more of a her final stand, trying to buy enough time for alphys to evacuate everyone. its a nice change of pace from the intense remixes
Look RU-vid! I'm, commenting. ENGAGEMENT. That means this stays in my recommended for longer, right? But seriously, please let it. This is quite simply awesome.
