I really like some of these bands! I actually saw Shinedown live in Niagara Falls earlier this year, and I think Jerry Mander should’ve been at that show! Plus, their 2022 album Planet Zero is pretty much an album made for Jerry! And Daughtry‘s last record from a couple of years ago was probably my biggest surprise of that year. Love the epic fight between Jerry and Chompy!😂🐊
Shinedown isn't a conceritve band planet Zero was for both extreme sides. Shinedown doesn't take any political sides never have. They just want America to come together and stop fighting about everything. I think most people can agree with that.
A for America for Five Finger Death Punch is the most fitting placement. Also, i live in a small town and there is a local dude that is exactly like Jerry Mander, no exaggeration.
Everyone forgets about smile empty soul! They were one of my faves back in the day. They rolled thru here a few yrs back and I swear there was maybe 20 ppl in the audience. Made me le sad.
Funny video but I wish you did the rest of the entries. You missed out on some big bands, and you could've made a tier for ones you didn't know. I especially would've liked to have seen Shinedown, Seether, Disturbed, Pop Evil, Staind (Aaron Lewis is another awful human being,) Limp Bizcuit, Theory of a Dead Man, My Darkest Days, Fuel, Saliva, The Warning, and Lifehouse. Rock radio still loves to play new music from the first 4. Every time Shinedown puts out a new song, the radio immediately shoots it up to number 1 on the rock charts because of how safe they are. Same with Disturbed (even if it's just David Draiman and some other guitar player.)
Obviously huge Shinedown fan the reason radio loves SD so much is they sing about real issues and Brent's vocals he really is a great vocalist. Radio loves them because they have always showed respect for radio. They always thank them & they have relationships with the main big radio stations. They are very nice guys.
Lol loved all the Right Wing puns. Especially, since that's the primary demographic of all these bands considering they all were at their peak during a very Conservative time in the US.
I actually like some of these bands like Breaking Benjamin, Stone Sour, Seether, Alter Bridge, Finger Eleven, Three Days Grace, Shinedown, Red, and Tantric but this was a hilarious video. The funny thing is butt rock isn’t even a real genre, it’s a catch all term to describe mainstream rock over the past 25 years. I think the few good bands that have this label usually have a singer who can actually sing and have real emotion with their lyrics.
I have to admit, most of these bands are ones that I listen to and go back on. Cold, Smile Empty Soul, Finger Eleven, Seether, Trapt, Revis, and others. I can see why these bands lie in the butt rock categories, but they do have some deep cuts that are gems in my eyes.
Great vid. Couple comments: 1. Chris Daughtry is a legitimately great singer. His last album from 2021 had some serious bangers on it. 2. Default is like a better version of Nickelback or Creed. Not special, but their frontman has a good voice. 3. The best post-grunge album ever is Revis's Places For Breathing. 4. Alter Bridge are awesome, though I think they peaked with the album AB III.
I know nothing about no Jerry Mander or Jerry Meleon or Jerry Zard for that matter, I ain't heard of no Chompy, I'm the guy you feel sorry for, and, quite frankly, it's not that much crazier than most shit on RU-vid. Kind of mild, to be honest
