Now that you got them, what you gonna do with them? Here are the basics on how to clean and prepare Puget Sound Butter Clams for your favorite recipe. These clams from Cutts Island are not easy to dig but they are extra large and clean.
Hi my friend.Yes.You catching it and you do cleaning it.That’s what I do.Thank you for sharing. How many butter clams can we harvest per day besides the manila clams in puget sounds?
Rocky, Isn't it about time for you to post some new Harstine Island videos. You're killing me with the wait. By the way, the land that we were interested in is BACK ON THE MARKET! We are looking to head up there before too long to check it out.
The usual nasty monsoon returned and I have been weathered in for quite a while during not good filming periods. I have had a lot of requests to film the hike down to the beach at Harstine State Park but I have to wait until the trail quits being a waterfall. I am in the PRS right now in order to help my lady with her business at the Pike Place market during busy season. I will return to the island on the 26th. I do have a couple videos to post but I hesitate to do so up here because we mooch off the neighbors wifi and it fades in and out. When you get a schedule together let me know via my regular e mail and maybe we could meet up.
What do you do with the shells? Would you consider selling them? I am very interested as I am working on a project for my daughter. Please let me know. Thank you!
That black tip of the snorkel should be cut off and thrown away, seagulls will not eat it, it taste bitter. I can do that size in about 30 seconds, clean with the adductor muscle intact, but then again I dig up about 6 five gallon pails at low tide 2 to 3 times a year. Not bragging but we eat them as our normal food, rough chop in blender, add frozen peas, corn and carrots mix, chop onion and flour to make sticky mass, fry and love in a sandwich with mayo.. Num Num
