I own a Gen 4 convertible and a 2017 Viper ACR Extreme, and the ACR is hands down the best car I’ve ever driven compared to all other sports cars and exotics I’ve driven. I think the 2017 ACR Extreme is one of the best investment cars of our generation and will be worth multiple times what it’s worth today in 10-20 years.
i have a gen 2. its controlled, and i am not a race car driver. i've driven some exotics. toe viper is the car for me. i love driving it and working on it myself.
I’ve always loved the viper, in fact it’s one of my top 3 dream sport cars. That said, if I had 300k to blow on a car, I can think of so many better and faster cars to spend that money on for the buck.
AMG GT (prev gen) is quite literally ripped from a Viper. Merc got all the specs/sheets and copied almost everything - spaceframe, double wishbones, front-mid engine, transaxle and so on. There are only 3 cars with such a thing : Viper, AMG GT/SLS AMG and Corvette c5/c6/c7. End of an 4gen Viper was a beginning for the future AMG GT platform - companies were under the same roof at the time.
The Viper in one race I watched came in 1,2,3, and 5 th. in one race of the Rolex 24. A farrarri came in 4 th. . But the germans with all their tech. must have felt embarrassed by a cheap american car winning against cars that cost multiple times more! Who really needs a 50 thousand dollar interior when it does 0 to make the car faster. And the technician needed to service the car isn't cheap . A friend of mine owned a 150 thousand dollar Porsche here in the states and said the car rode like crap went to a Viper and loved the car!
That was a funny but interesting review! What caught me off guard is that Mercedes used the same concept for cooling and aero. That’s something I’ve never paid attention to.One things for sure is that the Viper ACR is the only Dodge that I love!
Really wish Dodge didn't discontinue the Viper, now we have like 10 versions of the challenger and charger trying to fetch the old msrp of this beauty, need to chill with that and bring this back at a 170k-250k msrp with options
I chose to buy the TA 2.0 over the ACR because the TA has excellent suspension and aero package, which allows it to be used on the track, but it is comfortable enough for weekend trips, unlike the ACR, which is designed exclusively for track days...
Omg Dude this car will straight up kick the crap out of any of your other cars you own , on the track.. So you talk badly about the viper but you seem to not put them on the track .. the viper is flat out one of the fastest and best handling cars "ever ever built..
viper bodies or interior never squeaked and cracked like lambos/porsche/ferrari - and can hand them their own ass in a very quick fashion. I would also like to add, you're not a driver enthusiast, you're a car enthusiast. you should have no reason to own a GT or a viper. they are for hardcore drivers, not pavement princess drivers. this is just not your type of car.
I have rented every dream car I could drive because I can’t afford them, and my all time favorite is the viper. It’s tough finding somebody willing to rent it out for a couple days. True car enthusiasts car. Enjoy it man! Great review! Wonderful 😀
I know my word may not mean jack, but imo yes. I’m a huge viper guy so even saying that pains me but the non ACR variants are still unbelievable. I tell everyone there’s not been anything remotely similar to a viper since the gated Gallardos. Manual/N/A V10, RWD etc. these are drivers cars which can be driven. Now the ACR-E/normal ACR will always fetch more, same with the rarer limited editions (T/A 1.0/2.0, GTC’s, etc) I believe the base model SRT trim will maintain its value even with miles on them. The last iteration plus arguably the best vipers ever made mean something. Give it some time and I’m pretty confident that you’ll see my point.
@@TheRenegade. i fully agree ... its always been the car that got away from me ... never pulled the trigger .. instead opted for shelbys and zo6's ... deep down knowing i should have went with the viper ... i was really looking hard at them fee years back when they were only 70-80k lol what a miss
Hey sir I am a big fan of your videos and I have a question for you. My dad and I are looking for a zl1 and I'm trying to convince him that it would soon be an investment so I want to know your opinion possibly maybe in a video
