Caught myself with the same dilemma, But plastic basket breaks really easy ( broken clips are falling into the Oil ) and to fit it in aluminum cnc cap is no problem but because of temperature clips are getting loose and basket separates, Uro aluminum casted is great in my opinion because oil pressure line is the most important the "small rubber gasket in the middle" and high pressure - spring resistance is the most important factor for n55 - in my case, for rod bearings not spinning, had to play with Uro Casted Cap a bit but to me its solid, Casting is not the best but it will hold the pressure on spring without separation
when you tried the Paradigm cap, did you reverse thread it first to make sure the first thread caught correctly? their install video explains this. i've seen a few other folks run this cap and they said they had no cross threading issues. i'm about to give it a try on mine so will be interested to see if i run into the same issue you had. but their install video makes it seem like there shouldn't be any resistance/risk of cross threading at all. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gOraCwktaEs.html
FYI - i tried the reverse thread method on the Paradigm cap and i did feel it seat differently than just spinning it straight on. it wasn't completely resistance free until the gasket like their video suggests, but it was resistance free up until maybe 2 threads left, which was actually the same as the OEM cap for me. will keep an eye out for leaks, but i didn't feel like i was close to cross threading it at all. i guess YMMV on the Paradigm caps
