Probably because his YT channel hasn't grown like other car channels. I just looked at SocialBlade. People don't really like Giveaway channels since they are begging you to buy their merch every video. Most people don't even wear the merch. StreetSpeed and Stangmode have the same problem.

@@stevelubs Doug left for a real shop, I don't watch that channel. Even though I own a Procharged Mustang and watch a ton of Mustang content on YT, I don't watch or subscribe to the giveaway channels. I don't mind a giveaway here and there on a channel but this dude, Street Speed, Stangmode, that's all they do. Beg for merch sales then throw their new house, new exotic or new something in your face. That's not for me.

@@joepisciottajrHmmm, that’s actually a pretty good point. I’ve noticed his channel has stagnated also (it’s been around 1.22 million for quite a while now). I know these guys make damn good money from those giveaways, but maybe people are finally starting to realize it’s like winning the lottery. I’ll buy some stuff here and there, but will never buy like I’m trying to win. That’s one of the reasons I don’t watch Stangmode that much anymore. Dude has been milking his GT500 giveaway and also mentioned his channel stopped growing due to people not showing interest in channels that shove giveaways down their throats.

@@jmendozas197 Most car channels that don’t wrench on their own stuff don’t grow as quick. When viewers see the channels working hard on their cars, viewers support that. Begging you to buy merch every video so they can buy a new car, most don’t support that. StreetSpeed has broken off giveaways to a new channel. He’s been hosed in the comments about this. Stangmode, yeah for sure. He does like produced commercials for the giveaway cars. I stopped watching these channels a long time ago.
