I'm seriously impressed he has the time to go through all this footage over a year and compile it into a timeline. Coupled witht he amazing drone footage and all the little cuts, music, seriously.
I seen the video length and said no way could he hold someone’s attention for that long ! Next time I checked 35 minutes had passed and now Iv just watched the ending 😂😂
@@2014gustafson , I agree that we still see him working but it’s usually either at his castle or his mountain retreat . I just miss watching him working at varied properties that’s all .
@@johntatum1951 , I actually got a response from Andrew recently and he said that the outside jobs that he had done of late were not worth putting on U tube . I do agree with you that he probably doesn’t need to do outside work because of his income from U tube.
Saw a comment mention how nice it is to see "normal" people. Couldn't agree more, just people being people, no fake awful personalities, no playing up characters for the camera. Love your content, man, keep it up!
That last recent time I saw Andrew this happy is when he hired people to dynamite that hillside and it literally came out as gravel. He walked up with a huge grin on his face and was very pleased with the outcome. We get a kick out of seeing him appreciate even the little stuff in life, along with his dogs. I hope when I am 90 and he's in his early 60's that he still makes video's!
What about that quote of the century " there are no after market parts for this thing, cause you don't need aftermarket parts. Everything is strong enough already!"
I would like to suggest a vehicle I believe wasn't sold to the USA is a 1980 or 90 Toyota Troopcarrier diesel. These things go anywhere standard. Hardly anything breaks they go forever. Very basic and the same design shape for 50 years. That fire truck on the b-list video is the same series vehicle being the 70 series LandCruiser. "Troopy" is like this Isuzu body only better once taken the two bench seats that make it 11 seater out.
As I'm from Estonia, there is a huge off-road community I used to take part of. Main brands that won stock class races was either short Troopers, Samurais or LCruiser 70-s. Environment is harsh over there and they really stood out. Even MB G class often proved too heavy. Nice gem, looks like new!
It seems that in too many cases the vehicle manufacturers have really fallen away from the notion of building reliable transportation with the driver in mind. You are very fortunate to have located that Isuzu Trooper in such good condition. I can see why you would want to hang on to it forever. Great video Andrew!
Andrew showing us his rebar frame replacement while us here in the UK can have our vehicles declared unroadworthy for having an empty screenwash bottle! Imagine turning up at an MOT Test with Andrews old Trooper, I think they would need to refill the printer halfway through printing the failure report.
You get the rules you vote in. Where I live to build a house they just want you to perk test for the sewer and after that it's all on you. No rules after that. On vehicles they just make sure the vin reads right and your good. I love where I live. I can walk out the back door and go shooting if I want or fishing in the river any time of the day and just try not to make a mess and your good.
How happy we are to see Andrew with his new "old school" toys. Thank you for these videos, which have a life teaching, to appreciate the simple, value, enjoy the company and share moments with your dogs
I've had several Troopers of the generation after this one (loved them) but always had a soft spot for the older ones. My father-in-law had one we took out on the beach all the time for surf fishing. You can imagine the rust on that one. He loved that truck and drove it until it was falling to pieces. Congrats on finding a clean one.
Something Andrew has uncovered that other RU-vidrs haven't... The Grill crushing part of the video. Others would edit it out for time or to create a simpler story, but Andrew knows this content is why we are here. He doesn't need to worry about the algorithm. Cheers Andrew.
Fellow New Yorker (upstate) I picked up a 1990 Carolina Trooper in 2022. I started collecting media this month. I love this thing! Thanks for the video.
These videos are getting better and better. Having Sam around to help with recording is giving us camera views and angles we probably wouldn't get if Andrew had to do it alone. Great job Andrew and Sam! Thanks for all you do to bring us these videos.
True, but I guess beeing normal was not enough for the TV-channels, so they started producing more or less dumb realityshow etc., put together castingwise so it had to be friction among the participants. This channel has a great retro-style, showing that basic things in life are enough. Younger people in general will say the productions here are too slow, but one day it has to come back to the basics for them too, I guess. And make them cherish true content.
@@jamesscott1932 after watching the rest of the video I see it’s his Gf. This looks like a different one that seen during the container castle build no?
Oh boy I’ve been looking forward to this one! No other RU-vidr can make an hour and half long video which I’ll happily sit through and watch the entirety of! The organisation and passion this guy has for content filmed across a long period of time is impeccable. You’re a legend Andrew 👍
Thank you Andrew and Sam that was one video I didn't want to end. Loved every minute. The trees at this time of year look beautiful. I was a bit worried when you had that bonfire so close to the trees, but all was good. Great fun thank you for sharing. till next time take care xx
I don't think there is another youtuber who can do an hour and a half video on a 33 year old used car and have me hoping it won't end. Not a big deal to upgrade a new snowmobile for 10 grand. To be so excited about the an old SUV. I love it. I had a trooper in the 1990s. Great rig. Was great as a 4 wheel drive/snow rig. Also very comfortable as a daily driver. Thanks for another great video
@@jmwintenn I got that. Maybe it wasn't clear how I worded it. My point was Andrew wasn't bargain shopping with the Trooper. Its the rig he has been looking for.
andrew and Samantha you give us happiness a joy of living in your way which is the right one... for me, just look at your dogs who are very happy by your side. I love your videos and seeing you restore the 1988 ISUZU 4x4 with talent and all its magnificent plans in the woods or the forest with magnificent fall colors, it's great well done
I'm amazed you found one in such pristine condition. If I remember correctly, I had to come to a stop to engage the 4WD......and then come to a stop, shift the gear out and reverse 4 or 5 ft. to get it out of 4WD. 1987 Isuzu SpaceCab P'up 4 X 4 which had an angled roof to allow for more headroom when using the jump-seats. The truck was a head turner because it was unique. Thanks for making a video including the new Trooper. It brings back memories when I was young and life was simpler.......i.e. "no engine light" 😉 It is healthy to reminisce. The campsite you created is heaven. You work your butt off and you deserve all the nice things you can make/do to balance your down-time/playtime. Thanks for sharing the more personal parts of your life. There is another one in Kennebunkport, ME. Low miles, just in the event that you accidentally trash this one. 💥 (explosion emoji)
Man this brings back childhood memories of the 80s. My father started off with a 2 door and later owned two 4 doors. All were 4 cylinder, stick shift and no AC. And those garbage cans were the exact reason he kept buying them! I’m in my mid 40s now and my brothers and I still laugh about his obsession with having a vehicle that could carry those garbage cans. And our Connecticut road salt ate them up like a light snack!
I have an '87 Trooper I bought in '88 as a stolen recovery. There was a defect in the stock hubs that they replaced for free. I changed the automatic hubs out for Warn Manuel hubs. Besides the battery the only other thing I replaced is 3 starter motors and have to do it again! It has a little rust on the bottom edges of the 1/4 panels and doors and is used for my river truck. I love it, best truck I've ever owned! Have fun with yours.
Your girlfriend is awesome. She is always up for anything. Great watching you two have so much fun. You are right about that Trooper too. Solid machine.
Built with pride and made to do the job of exploring the wilderness dependably, cause it was a matter of life and death to get caught in vulnerable places. No electronics to fail without warning. The 60's and 70's Toyota Landcruisers before smog control messed them up and mileage was considered more important then dependability were just as reliable as the Troopers. Good video Andrew thanks for the story of your Trooper.
What a great video! Burn piles, fixing car stuff, watching Blue grow up again, doing cool things and going to cool places. Grand fun, thanks Andrew and Sam!
Samantha is an awesome addition to your videos. It’s so much better with you interacting with her then walking around talking to yourself and the dogs you guys really seem to make each other happy and it’s apparent in the videos.👍🏼 I just love the videos. Please keep them coming.
Totally ok, I was wondering if he could find a suitable woman for him, and he found a woman who is his double, just perfect for him in every way, they go so well together! unbelievable. and wonderful for him. in addition, it further improves the quality of his videos... next video: finding the woman of my life!
@@Feub69 what evidence do you have that she is his girlfriend or lover, from what I've watched he has never kissed her or handled her in such a way that would be construed as such. Maybe they are just platonic friends.
I don't know what you're smoking but that chick is clearly taking cross-sex hormones or has taken them. I could understand the short haircut and tomboy get-up, but the flat chest, vascularity, and stature are indicative of deeper physiological changes.
What a find - that Isuzu !!! Hard as nails, can climb the steep track to the mountain camp, tows broken Hondas and jetskis, even teaches Sam how to drive manual !!! She's a keeper... so is Sam !!!
Andrew does nothing easy , even when he lights a fire ! go big or go home ! And getting ready for the season change , Nice ride, trees are beautiful ! great video !
Troopers are the best! I have a friend that has an old one, no rust. Engine is blown 😬 Might dive in and make it a project. Restore to its original beauty.
RU-vid creators have a lot of influence. When a popular RU-vid machinist (any of several) praises an older tool found on eBay, the supply dries up within hours.
@@AndrewCamarata They have brought a premium price since the 90's when I started looking for one. After a friend took me for a ride in his diesel econobox as he called it on a snot slick clay road in NW Florida that it handled with ease. Doc Steve could afford anything he wanted and researched his purchases beforehand. It made me feel good seeing Samantha enjoying herself
Thanks for yet again another great video! Your such an inspiration for me, I’m 15 and have been working on powersports/ trucks since I was a baby. Learned some things from your videos.
My family got an 80’s trooper 20 years ago. One of us crashed it like five times and you couldn’t tell. Top speed 55 and it began to shake shudder and shimmy so hard we were afraid to go any faster. Outstanding fun! One of the best vehicles we ever got.❤
Absolutely love the video, Where you took us and everything else that you did in the dogs they were hilarious, You have a good woman there that shares in what you do, Treasure her
Thanks for the video! It's nice to see a bit of the personal side. Speaking of which, a video of you two fixing up and moving into the upper part of the container castle would be awesome.👍
the rebar frame fix killed it ,man what a great home brew fix, going to drag out my welder and going on a rebar hunt,I live on west coast and lots o salted roads, thanks 4 the fix for my truck ( MY BUDDIES THANK YA TOO )
Just a little note for home mechanics. When Andrew replaced the locking wheel hub he mention that there were a couple of phillips screws. They're actually JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). They are very similar but have much steeper angle on the point. Using a phillips driver will work but not properly and will eventually damage the screw. However, using a JIS will work fine in a philips head. If you run lots of Japanese made vehicles, a set of JIS drivers is indespensible.
@@AndrewCamarata At least on japanese motorcycle carb screws, there is a dot punched on the face between two sides of the cross shape. You'll enjoy having the JIS set and not stripping them any more! The bits fit very tightly.
These videos are always fun, especially if you work of them to get them to your standard…but I do miss your working at a job videos. I can’t think of a rusted car that I’ve seen living in East Tennessee, other then a pickup body that had some rust on the body due to crushes, beds etc.
They were originally made for Australia, HOLDEN JACKAROO made by ISUZU, primarily built in Japan for Australian conditions that's why they are so tough. They were shared around the world under different names with an ISUZU badge.
Famous in Ireland. Also the pajero land cruiser and amazon and Daihatsu fourtrak. I don't Think the trooper were that popular in the UK or elsewhere in Europe. It's odd how Ireland seemed to like all them things. Same for fiat tractors/valmet/SAME/ Lamborghini. We had them all before most other European countries
I know I have told you before but i'll tell you again you have a gift for making entertaining videos. Thanks for giving me a break from reality. Good luck with your brand new 38 year old car. You are a hoot.
I have a 91 trooper very similar to your 88. Unfortionately, it has significant rust but it is kept for summer use at my Maine house. It is still very functional and reliable. Miles are over 200 K.
This was a great video! great content, great scenery, great truck, great girl, great music, great editing, great drone footage and great fire. I loved it.
Nice Trooper Andrew. I still drive my 97 Dodge Intrepid...still runs great at 25 years and 185,000 miles. What can I say, I feel blessed to have it and only change oil about every 5 months or so...I do not drive it that much. Same engine and same transmission, so this Intrepid was well built. 3.5 litter V-6. You and your friend are so patient...nice fix on the parking brake.
I remember learning how to drive a manual transmission as a teenager. I’m 42 and hadn’t driven one in 10 years and this past week drove one without having to even think about it. It’s something you should know.
I love those old Isuzu's! I just sold my 1995 4Runner which I kick myself every single damn day that I sold it. One of the toughest vehicles made, right along with these. All about the same kind of engineering as well. The key is 6 Lug wheels and Large Hubs. Unbeatable!
You sit a lot lower inside a Cherokee, they are a great truck but you sit low in the seat when compared to an old Range Rover, pre TJ "Tub" Jeep, Trooper or older land cruiser (I don't know the model numbers of them). I love my Jeeps but they are a little awkward when seriously offroading.
Can't beat those Troopers when there in 4x4 mode in the mountains better than any Jeep on the market! Great find Andrew loving the content and good to see you guy's uploading another video!
Also had one and loved it. Rusted rear 1/3 door and undercarriage but we wheeled that thing all over overgrown BC logging roads. It could not be stopped with the right tires. Would have another (rust free version) anytime.
That thing is sick! You're a man after my own heart. I'd buy a southern 80-90s vehicle over a new one any day of the week. If it ain't rusted out and parts are available it can be made to run indefinitely.
Excellent dude, and Sam is an absolute gem, very noticeable uptick on camera and video work. We find it hilarious how you had to instruct Sam on how to drive a stick shift and she was remarkably adept. That rebar work...dude how you guys get away with that.
@@Channel-gz9hm Safety Inspections are about STATE INCOME, not safety. Govt doesnt give a fuck about you or your safety. They just want an excuse to extort you for money i.e. your time. The more Democrat the state the more useless Permits and Fee's you get for ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING in return.
Great video filming of interesting places. Trees in fall time are beautiful and corn maze trip a bonus. The 88 Izuzu is a real gem. Rust in NS due mainly to road salting eats cars up in a few years especially the under body. Good to see you and Samantha enjoying some quality fun time together! Looking forward to your next adventure.👍👍👍
Greetings, Andrew. My best wishes for you. From the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. I am 61 years old and my father bought a truck of that model and year 88 when I was 27 years old, (here, it was called: Caribe 442) yellow. Very good vehicle. I am a faithful viewer of your videos.
It’s so awesome to know that Andrew could afford a Ferrari if he wanted too and he buys a 1988 Isuzu Trooper and people have zero idea that he’s basically a millionaire. Dudes the coolest rich person I’ve ever seen
@@urbanitesgarage3299 So you are his financial advisor and bank manager, he has a big bunch of clapped out machinery worth shit and expenses to maintain that bunch shit is huge, dont kid yourself Gringo.
