The Journey Begins! with how crazy the motorcycle market is, why not buy a brand new bike? it was a hard decision between this bike, GSXR 750, or the r6. but this bike definitely has the most bang for the buck..
Congratulations bro! Beautiful bike! As far as the wiggle room on the price, shortage of bikes is a problem. I overpaid a bit as well, supply & demand. Enjoy it! ride safe.
Got the same one about a month back, it’s beautiful! Sadly the dealership scratched mine during assembly, and had to take it to the shop about 2 times for a check engine line. They said it was just a loose cable. I love it though.
Try this method for negotiating, go to a dealership get their best possible price for the bike you want. Get a print out of the deal. Walk away, and go to another dealership, and start talking and part way through pull that paper out and say "this is what they're doing, can you best this price ?" That usually does the trick. I got a few grand off my car doing this. Good luck !
I feel you bro, my first bike got stolen as well, then I sold my second bike, finally got my zx6r 2021 teal the same exact one as you got. it's definitely been a long journey for sure.
@@juiceboxjigga unfortunately I didn't, the only abs available was the krt edition. I wasn't feeling the lime green or the white gray. so I got the nightshade teal, I mean I wasn't feeling it at first. But the longer I look at it, the more I feel it's one of a kind. I've had a bunch of people come up to me about the bike and color since I got it.
@@juiceboxjigga To be honest, I'm struggling to decide if I later wanna upgrade to a zx10r black or wait for 2022 for some different color with abs. zx10r looks sick but insurance would be terrible, zx6r abs would be just right everything considered.
@@PureValentino my next bike is defiantly goin to be a 1000 or gsxr 750 at the very least. i wont be buying another 600. And im very curious on the 2022 colors for the zx10r but the black looks really good imo. that KRT looks awful.... insurance is already crazy expensive for me and my 636
@@juiceboxjigga yeah man I agree with you. zx10r black is definitely on my list, I just gota afford it you know lol with everything it doesn't come cheap
No one is budging on pricing in this market. Had the same thing happen 5 weeks ago. They wouldn't come down a dollar. I winded up buying a 2019 ZX6R with 1820 miles for 9999. Honestly with the way inflation is going we may have invested at a good time. I agree Yah is good. Everything I have belongs to The Most High. He has blessed the work of my hands. HalleluYah. Very nice bike Yah has blessed you with as well. Really like the color. It is an amazing machine. Peace unto you and your household 🙏
not the case they had 6 of em... the sticker was already at 9,399, which is almost 1500 cheaper. with that being said most dealerships are selling out fast. they are already waiting on the 2022s
@@juiceboxjigga damn really I feel that but yeah I agree with your idea of buying new. you’re gonna pay the usual “dealer prep” bs and whatnot but still, beats spending similar money for a used bike. might as well just buy new in todays market. ill bite the msrp bullet anyway vs buying used.
Buying this bike tomorrow in the white and grey . Very excited cause I had a 2020 R6 and while it looked clean and performed well, the powerband in the low end and for commuting was almost like riding a ninja 400 until you hit around 5k rpm. Kawasaki puts out some excellent machines .
I ordered mine but it won't be here until July :( I've been looking for every ZX6R video I can find lol, and yours popped up (fittingly since I just left the dealership). I'm getting a full Akrapovic carbon exhaust as well (absolutely no emissions testing or restrictions in my state), so I'm stoked. I love that color!
@@juiceboxjigga The 2022 Twilight Blue color. I really like the KRT colors (especially this year), but that blue is just so classy and timeless I feel :) I got it for sticker price. It's basically the only one in the state and literally the only one the shop is getting all year, so I didn't have much haggle room, but I'm working with them on the extras like the ECU flash, so that will help lol. Funny you say the GSXR, because I was looking at that too and settled on this for the exact same reason!
The zx6 is the best bang for buck 600cc bike out. Amazing value for what it is. Enjoy and stay safe. Buy some gear n boots so you don't scuff your Jordan's in the first place
You have to understand when buying a used bike from a dealership, they’re trying to make back what they bought the bike for plus margin on top of that so they can get more product back in. Best advice for used is to buy private, that way the market is more leveled and you have much more breathing room to negotiate.
i know what your saying. i should have chosin my words better but i talking about the private market too. though its not as bad as the Stealerships, the private market is crazy too. ppl selling bikes from 2005 wit over 20k miles for $7k.
@@juiceboxjigga didn't plan on even buying it lmao came in to look for some new gloves for my gf. Ended up trading my bike in 🤣🤣🤣, I ended up paying almost the exact same price as you
Just bought the 2021 KRT ABS zx-6r. It hurt cause they had it discounted to 9,949, though with ABS making it 1k more than the non and 2000+ in adm, it was over 14k. It was also one of the last, as they had to ship it from a nearby dealer cause they had just sold the one I went to buy. This is in southern CA. It is evil prices here. Couldn't find one that was cheaper, so it was that or nothing.
@@juiceboxjigga I wanted ABS, cause it's when you don't you always run into a situation you wish you did. Also it's just California. Everything is so stupid expensive here. Went to other dealers and the price is about the same. Go to LA and you are at 10% tax without ADM even factored. I think inventory is also an issue, as the night before another guy bought one.
@@juiceboxjigga I know! I died a little signing the deal. Only got out cause the bike carried me. Haha I'll be testing it out and will let you know. Already it's looking amazing!
All 3 colors are dope... but that Nightshade is what I chose. That Nightshade teal is not that blue, though. The Teal appears blue on camera. Dope bike. Just got mine about 2 weeks ago. Congrats.
Agree. This is the best year in color option for the 636. The teal is so unique and the white is very clean but kind of boring in my opinion. Kawi has done that color way before. The KRT color combo is cool but looks a bit childish to me. Teal for the win🥇
The key to buying from a dealership is to go in acting like you don't want anything even if you're set on something. That will make them try and sell it to you and gives you way more wiggle room when negotiating. Remember those guys work for commission.
yes, first bike i ever drove was a brand new 2019 straight off the showroom floor. was very nervous.. i played in the parking lot for about 20min before finally leaving. with that being said i rode dirt bikes for a couple years so i know how to use a clutch. i dont recommend doin that if you have no idea what your doing
I’ll always buy bikes new. There’s a lot more maintenance that goes into them than a lot of people think. Rather not have the headache. You buy a used bike, 2 years old, then have to change brake fluid…
Dude I bought my bike outright last night for 100 under Msrp. Here I am thinking I'm going to save money and there is only one bike on the showroom floor. They are all sold out lol
when i bought this bike they had over 6 in this color way. and they still had multiple KRTs and and multiple white/grey... how much did u pay out the door?
@@juiceboxjigga He didn't change his mind, he never learned to ride it! I was just thinking "dude..I learned to ride my first one through RU-vid and trial and error" but I wasn't gonna say that and not go home with the bike 🤣
At 4:05 Dealerships are still doing it... Looked at a new 636 just outside of Atlanta for $10,499 and they had a 2020 ( non ABS ) for $12,999.. It did have only 6,000 miles on it but still the bike is 2 years old.. Makes no sense to me either..
@@juiceboxjigga I'd definitely watch... I went back to Mountain Motorsports outside of Atlanta in Lithia Springs ( I live close to Chattanooga TN ) to look at a 2022 636 . I made my mind up that was the one i wanted. I called about it that morning, they told me it was still available and i drove 3 hours to check it out only to find out that it had been sold the day before but they had a 2020 candy steel furnace orange 636 with under 3,000 miles ( I 'm pretty sure it was around 3,000 miles ) that they would sell to me for ( Get ready for this one ) $14,999 I just turned around and walked out .. I was so disgusted with the blatant price gouging it left me speechless.. I understand dealerships have to make money but that's highway robbery .. And it seems like all of them are adopting this business model of selling motorcycles. And that is screw their customers by putting them in an overpriced bike that they'll have to keep till it's paid off and that's if they don't feel burned on the deal and don't want to pay it off because of the car like loan payments.. And some young people just see a sharp shiny fast bike and don't realize what they've done until it's too late.. You can tell people to look out for this sales tactic but I've found the only teachers that educate on this subject is time and experience.. That's a badass 636 you've got ( love that color and you got a great deal on it too & that is something I can't seem to find & at this point I'm not sure that i will ) Take care and have a good one.. I'll be on the lookout for your video
@@georgehgordy1690 Thank you for sharing, your story is relatable to many others im sure... $15,000 for a used bike is nothing less than robbery. i always ask the salesman why the bike is so expensive just to hear their terrible excuses and lies. good luck with you search, im confident you will find what your looking for with patience
amen on what you spoke on - seeing so many USED bikes with like 3-10k miles for the SAME price or extremely close to it, as a brand new bike. like i'm sorry but that shouldn't be worth it to anyone, saving 500$ on a used on as opposed to brand new is not worrh it. I saw a few even more than msrp which is ridiculous! so yeah, brand new is the only way to go.
My bike dealership tried to charge me $14,500 when I went to inquire about one I said “nope” and left and they tried to tell me I wouldn’t see one for less than that. 🥴
U got a pretty good deal bro! Here in Wisconsin, it lists for $10,200...think I paid $11,700 out the door. U can get a lot of cool mods off Amazon for a hell of a lot cheaper than Revzilla.. Spent $30 bucks for tail eliminator, $34 for shorty levers (etched with 'zx6r') and $70 for OES frame sliders (they call it green but the letters are that same neon yellow thats on the tires and under the zx6r sticker) only thing revzilla has is the puig windscreen for $90 (think I bought that off Amazon too, I went black and it looks awesome, can't see through it but doesn't matter to me anyways 😀 I bought the same bike a few weeks ago btw! It's an AMAZING mochine! I just love it! Enjoy bro and congratulations! Ride safe (it's hard to not ride her viciously) 😆
man i just orders some tanks pads off amazon and that didnt go well at ALL. they fell completely off but the sticky 3m glue was still fully stuck to my gas tank. so im done with amazon sadly
im trying to find a 2017 and up r6, the dealerships r off the crack, they r selling 2020s and 2017s with $1000 worth of after market and 10k miles for 15k!!! its ridiculous
yea i thought i was going crazy when i saw the prices.. dealers are definitely trippin. so what bike are you goin to get? or are you just going to pay the taxes for the r6
@@juiceboxjigga probably gonna go with an r6 cuz thats been my dream bike. I found one for 12k a 2020 with 4k miles and a few after market stuff on it like frame sliders exhaust etc. best deal i was able to find, every other r6 near me had 5-10k miles with a few after market stuff and were going for 12-15k…smh
@@daddyfatsack68 if your paying that much money for an r6 i would just wait for the random guy selling his on facebook for with extremely low miles... im not saying 4k is a lot of miles but 12k expensive for a used bike, plus tittle
@@juiceboxjigga i would love to buy a bike off facebook in cash but i need to build credit right now so financing a bike is the option. I just have to find one thats around msrp with very low miles. I saw a 2018 with 4 miles for $12,000 but someone snatched it right away.
for real dude, pay 7k cash on a 15yr old bike or put downpayment on a new bike and finance 5k and pay that out after a year anyways, new bike is the way to go
man I got the Ducati V2 and I kind regret it, wish I went with the Zx6r, parts are freaking expensive and the bike is hot af, def not a Texas friendly bike
@@juiceboxjigga Im from east Houston and drove all they way down there for their crazy deals. Like you said those used bikes are are way too expensive and i ended up getting a z125 from then for 2700 brand new! now im saving up for a zx6r
It was closer to 3500 because I got a 5 year extended warranty. And I got a good deal and I only pay 40 a month with no down payment so it was super cheap. And since it’s so cheap they don’t require full coverage so with insurance it’s like 100 a year
they are all good. the white is very clean but doesn't do this bike justice and i feel would get boring after a while. plus they have already done that exact color scheme in 2017. like i said all look great
@@juiceboxjigga here’s the thing I don’t think the videos do the blue justice and I haven’t been able to get out and see it in person yet. I think if probably go with it when I actually get to see it in the flesh.

That's nothing man. Here in China motorcycles get 200% (total price, ANY COUNTRY) and you have to add 10% of total price by 200% give government tax. For example let's say Ducati v4 22k $, 200% before bike can enter country (ridiculous price...) and then before you get license plate register and go to your DMV pay 10% tax (total price after foreign price is raped by 200% increase total.) Crazy, I don't get why. Then if you have a diplomat import and export passport here (red book) then you can skip the 200%. But these people only farm the people that doesn't know about this. It's super sad actually. Hong Kong has the same prices as most other countries around the world, Thailand and most other Asian countries.
@@juiceboxjigga Hey, yes. Even on Japanese bikes. It's pretty crazy. In Hong Kong the prices are almost the same with most Western countries. Another thing is we are only allowed to drive your brand new motorcycle for 11 - 13 years before it's scrapped!!!! Hopefully this rule and other nonsense rules and bans on motorcycles can change. I've read in the Chinese news they are talking about this because man some 5-10 year old bikes here have less than 8k Kilometers on them. Usually it's considered a luxury item here that's one of the reasons why it's so expensive... But I'm holding fingers crossed for very good changes to come regarding this. Oh and China produces a bike called QJMotor (Beneli counterpart) it's a 600cc in line 4 and they also have 350's which are not too bad. They are no way near the quality of our Western market bikes but here they sell for the same value let's say a BMW S1000rr would sell in USA. lol
