Race car sequential boxes (the origin of these systems in domestic cars) are pull for up and push for down. When you are accelerating hard it’s easier to pull than push and vice-versa when you’re on the brakes downshifting

@@ChrisBeevor0511 I don’t doubt any of that. I only ever drive manual so makes no odds to me. I do recall sequentials being that way tho, so yeah makes sense. Driven a couple of auto beemers and always takes me a couple of roads before I start shifting the right way 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 as I said tho, it’s just me personally.

@@Roadwarrior92 surprisingly not in wet it will spin but when dry or only slightly damp it will put the power down it’s no 0-60 car but brilliant from 40 on and surprises lot of bigger hot hatches ect as power to weight and when moving it goes

Don't you find it geared too high? I drove one and it felt like it didnt want to rev high and the gearing was off.

Sealed gear box on these, so no need to change gear box oil

@@JordzyBrev just like, for example, BMW say the ZF8 is sealed for life. Yet ZF say it should be serviced between 40-60k miles depending on how the vehicle is used and driven. No oil last for ever. It’s marketing wank that manufactures use to make cars more appealing due to the prospect of less maintenance costs.

@JordzyBrev But that does not change the fact that VW sold him a vehicle with a mileage discrepancy. He still retains his consumer rights. Dealers cannot withhold information that may affect the buyers decision to buy. They should have either corrected the mileage before sale, or informed him of the mileage discrepancy. Your friend's case is different because that is to do with the warranty. Mods can and do affect the parts covered under warranty. Buy a car from a dealer, remap it, and engine goes pop 2 weeks later - they're well within their rights to tell you to F off.

Google the vin. If it's been to an auction then they get the pics and report.

Done through the national insurance database I’m pretty sure. If it’s done through your insurance then it’s flagged and they’ll also have the invoice for the repair bill from either their crash repair centre and it all gets marked down as to what was replaced. If say you repaired it yourself or something like that then it won’t show on that sort of site/app. Im fairly sure that’s how they work.

They inspect the car when you arrive. Its quite easy with the naked eye to see if a cars had some paint work done.
