Buying a Factory Chopper on Craigslist: Red Yamaha Stryker 1300 (2012)
Today we're checking out another Craigslist find. This is a 2012 Yamaha Stryker 1300. The Stryker is one of the few options you have for a factory chopper. Tag along as I do my initial ride, review, and impressions of the bike. And of course, we'll see if this one gets added to the collection. Enjoy!

Great buy Jon! Those bikes check all the boxes when it comes to a muscle looking cruiser, price, reliability and cool factor. Though i'm not a huge fan of the muscle fad in the 00's but back then, when I was in my twenties I thought they were the Bee's knees.

I've been wanting this bike since I saw them back in 2011... I even posted a comment of this on facebook back in 2011! lol Just loved the look of this... kinda forgot about it until I spotted the 2015 Bullet Cowl in green. Man, that one stuck with me. In 2019 I spotted a few of your stryker video's and said FUCK IT... looked into one and bought it. Had a 9hr ride to get during the COVID bullshit restriction... what a story that was, almost lost the bike because of it. So yeah man, got my 2nd dream bike thanks to you!

Love my Honda VTX 1300c but always been a fan of this bike. Would have gotten one over my Honda if I had the dough at the time. They nailed the styling in my opinion. I think 2018 was the last year they made them.

I agree !! The styling is PERFECT in my eyes, too. I love the Stryker and maybe I'll try riding a Raider someday.

I have a '15, same color. Definitely turns some heads when riding it. Picked up as a new left over this summer. Love it so far. The stock pipes were a little too quiet for me, so modded them by drilling (8) 1/2" holes until I upgrade to an aftermarket exhaust, airbox, and Ivan's ecu flash.

One of my DREAM bikes is the Yamaha Stryker 1300. So darn cool. EDIT : A week ago I traded in my 2001 Honda Shadow 750 for a 2011 Yamaha Stryker and I couldn't be happier. It sticks to the road like glue in the wind, and handles like a small bike.

I have seen this video more than 10 times. . . IM trying to get one of this bikes but everytime I am near to have the full money for it something happens family stuff, car broke down, I guess that how life is right?? I have a 2011 Stryker myself. Cobra auto tunner, cobra pipes and air filter changes this bike. I literally smash most harleys with my Stryker...fact nothing bad... They stopped making them. I have 50 000 miles and 1 owner. Took her on devil's highway run and she did amazing.

I don't get why he said it's powerful for a 1300cc Stryker because i own a 2011 Stryker 1300 that's all blacked out and not a small bike and it's VERY clean,fast and powerful hands down. The 1 i bought from a guy off marketplace I paid $6,000 cash with it only having 12,500 miles on it and it's flawless.

Remember, every manufacturer out there makes a +100hp 1200 (including Indian). Well every one except HD. So yeah, the Stryker would feel hella strong compared to a Sporty.

HD used to make the vrod, which pumped out around 120 hp if not mistaken with the 1130 and then 1250cc engine. Ok, not really your standard hd. Lol.

They seem to be liked by their riders. They have odd size and type of tires for a cruiser, if you don't wear those out the rest seems to be ok. That back tire can be hard to find in some places.

I hadn't thought about the odd ball tire sizes. Those are the worst! My mini van has 19" wheels. Dumbest thing ever. Lol.

no price at all on this one eh? not helping me out here lol. I got one of these on the line, I was looking to see what people do to them to personalize them and what people pay for this exact year and everything. I had my fingers crossed for a " how much" type deal. you live in a whole different climate and area than I do though so I figured it would be a different price but still. bummer that was not included here. This bikes too small for me but I was thinking I might be able to trade up or sell for so much more in the spring time that I could get what does fit me or make this one more my size. this is how much it doesn't fit me. lol those forward controls for YOU are not forward for me, also sz 17 feet dont even feel right, I can barely get my big toes up under the shifter and there is only a tiny place for my right foot really without being on the brake. sportsters are too small, I can ride a sportster from the passenger seat. I ant seeing any mods so far to make these feel right for a bigger person. torn between the price and worth. 10thousand mile bike in perfect 2012 condition for 4k. what do you think for resale in season?

Dang, cutting hours! That's wack! I dont think financing is necessarily a bad idea as long as you can afford the payments and get a decent interest rate.
