Im English but have living in Canada 🇨🇦 for 18 years. A CBR 300 are about $6000 Canadian dollar. Im not sure if you are aware but over here the price you see doesn't include the 13% tax. Plus everytime any vechile ecxhanges hands you have to again pay the taxes. I remember the old hondas. Used to call the bog seats !!!! Like you i learned in the fields. Great videos.
I only know this from having seen another video on YT, but a really interesting brand of motorbike available in Thailand is Royal Enfield, which look particularly amazing and are very iconic.
Honda click my favorite. Didn’t see in video. Thanks for showing various bikes and prices. Love your channel. Best of luck with restaurant! Looking forward to visit when Thailand reopens.

Thanks mate yes I should have mentioned about insurance and all that will do another video, but when I say on the road I mean on the road tax insurance included, amazing hey I’ll do an update about license also but that’s a grey area at the moment lol
Hey Richie & Maybelle nice bike vid, same as yourself bro ripping down the canals of brum lol me bro had a bike shop kept a few in garden, I'd take em for a rip he always knew and kicked the hell outta me lol... Harley Iron 883 would cost 363,000 thb in uk wonder how much in Thailand cuz you pay 300% tax if you import one
I remember when you could pick-up a Honda cub for £20 these days you’re looking at £1000 for a reck. BTW you will have more fun on the cub than that Harley 😀
Firstly It's worth saying that Thailand (and all S E Asia) is not a good place to learn to ride a Scooter/Moped. It would be wise to at least learn the basics in your own country (preferably at a bike school) where you have some understanding of the rules of the road, rather than learn that and how to ride at the same time in TH. That is doubly true if you're learning a geared motorbike. There are quite a few bike manufacturing plants in Thailand. Honda, Kawasaki, BMW, Ducati, Triumph and Harley Davidson all produce a few of their larger bikes there. Fast bikes are a waste of money in Thailand (and most of S E Asia) unless you've got a death wish. No fun scratching around a corner at speed to find a DakDak or 3 dogs asleep across the road, which is a much more regular occurrence than you'd expect. Probably not worth going bigger than 650cc (and only that big if you're planning to tour using motorways) unless you're buying for your ego. IMO for bigger bikes to tour on, the Honda CB500X, Kawasaki 650 Versys or Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor are the best Value (from last time I checked), although there may be better alternatives now. The HD Big bikes are really for guys that want an ego and prostrate massage more than a good ride (Vibrations!).
The insurance is very cheap and included in the price along with tax when you buy, that’s just the basic 3rd partly liability insurance, some also get private more comprehensive insurance maybe if you buy the Harley you would want better insurance. Lucky he didn’t damage the bike when knocking over and then I quickly moved my bike 😁
That depends how low you gonna go condition of bike a nice newish bike 3000 a clapped out banger 2000 😁 I don’t like riding old bikes incase of an accident
Saying Harley Davidson are for show is like me saying falangs come to Thailand to buy a wife 😉 both are factually incorrect off the cuff remarks. There are a lot of 1%er bikers in Thailand who all ride Harley Davidson (Hogs) & would take offence to your remarks mate 🙏
As a lawyer you are trained to see the short term against the long term costs of everything. As a lawyer, I see the risk in everything. The last thing I would ever purchase is a motorcycle and certainly not in Thailand that has one of the highest traffic fatality rates in the world. A fatal accident is the least of your problems. Imagine getting disabled and not being able to work or conduct your business any longer. That is my nightmare scenario and I advice it to be yours to. Don't purchase a motorcycle ever!
