I was in kata with my thai girlfriend 2 weeks ago, my heart goes out to the people who have lost their lives, the Thai people are resilient and will rebuild ❤❤❤
We take it for granted that we can build where we want, then nature comes and shows us what for. It's sad when lives are taken. A similar tragedy in Thredbo NSW in 1997.
I love ya Richie, but friends tell friends the truth (to help them). As you get older (yeah, you), there is a need to pay attention to the lighting in your bathroom so you can see the hair growing out of the top of your nose. I'm in my 50's and have been very conscious of my ear hair, nose hair and "other" hair growing from places that isn't usual. You have hairs growing out of the exterior of your nose that is visible from the side view especially. Maybelle might be too nice to point it out, but your real friends will let you know. Biore strips are nice for the peach fuzz, but sometimes wax and definitely tweezers can be your best friends. A weekly or bi-weekly appointment at a salon can be your friend to wax your ears, nose (interior and exterior), etc. Up to you, but only a friendly suggestion as I like your content and think you are a great person. Keep up the great content my friend.

Shocked to see the landslide damage it has caused. The rebuilding process will take time. We are visiting Phuket again in Feb 2025 and Maybelle's is on our to do again. Looking forward to being there again!
Yo! I left the UK 24 years ago after I lived and worked there during the later nineties. What you say is totally true. I don't live in Thailand either, but I spend a big part of Winter there nowadays. I was in Kata last time for a few weeks. Beautiful beach. I love Kathu/Patong but the water quality is not that good in Patong, and I love swimming so I am kind of mixed between Kata and Patong. I still love the UK and the Brits. Great people, terrible geography 🙂.
Don't get sucked back in, you live in Paradise. You have a beautiful family and beautiful life. You made the correct choice by checking out to Thailand. Look around you, look where you are. I would love to live there. And one day I will move to Thailand and live happily after. When I get there, I will come to your coffee garden. Don't let the world politics get you, it's all in your head anyway and you will drive yourself mad thinking about it when you can do absolutely nothing about it. Take of yourself and your family.
Good report Richie. I’m back in the States now as you know, and we got hit hard in our bungalows behind the Palmer’s Resort. I’m thankful that I decided to park my car up by the airport. Take care, and I’ll see you in October.

Very sad news to see such loss of life 😢 Mother Nature certainly tests us in many ways. I am always a little surprised at the building processes in countries where tropical rain storms are regularly occurring. Water erosion cannot be underestimated especially where mountains and beaches are in close proximity. What is that story about building on sand or rock 🤔🤔🤔
Glad to see that you guys are ok and no significant damage to the coffee shop or where you live. As they say, "never underestimate the power of mother nature".

Happens in many places in Thailand every rainy season, the tragedy is loss of life, but if you choose to live in areas, like mountains, got to expect it at sometime I'm afraid.
A massive hole in the ground and they are sweeping up leaves ... LOL's ........ Also, it was lucky that wall didn't take out the support column for that house.
