We have decided to add a portable sawmill to our collection of equipment on the PFO homestead. We have a portion of our woods with mature Norway Pine trees. They are slowly dying off and we want to use them before they fall and rot. After the successful and satisfying experience of buying a mini excavator through an online auction, we decided to pursue the same avenue to acquire this next planned piece of equipment. This video shows thew actual online auction in progress.
This is an as is auction, and though there is an inspection period allowed, this particular sawmill is still in the original shipping crate. So, there would be nothing to see if we had made the long drive prior to bidding. So, we are bidding sight unseen, just as we did for the mini excavator.
