that was a great deal, even if you had to put different rims and tyre on it, 18 psi pressure in rears to save front axle with a loader always have a counter weight on the back end/ linkage. Tip When greasing the front axle pivert take the weight off the axle so the grease can get to the top of the pin
Mike when you said the pavers were out of Corydon it brings back old memories for me back in the mid 70s I used to drive for Ace hardware and my route ran from Toledo Ohio first stop Greenville Terre Haute Linton West Baden springs French lick Jasper Corydon last stop New Albany, every week for a year the greatest people in the little towns in southern Indiana!
You should be able to set your 3 point hitch to float which allows it to follow the contour of the ground while Bush hogging. That guy gave you that tractor. Congrats
You already got your thousand dollars' worth just in what we saw in the video. Give it a good going over for oil, filters, grease, etc. and you will enjoy many miles of happy motoring!
It's so, cute watching a man put something together, as I have never seen a man stop and read the instructions, men seem to be straight forward thinkers and most men like Dave, are so mechanically inclined that it's a pleasure watching them repair a piece of equipment!
Dude! Bargain of the century! I looked for two years for a tractor that exact size and could not score one for less than $12K. Ended up buying one a little bigger than what I had hoped for $6,400.00 and I had to go to fetch it from Texas (and I had to reseal the loader cylinders, and still have to fix the loose steering and lack of brakes). Cheers from east-central AZ.
New subscriber here, just saw the video. Next time you mount your tires be sure that you mount the valve side LAST. You started at the valve and the outer tire can rip the valve clean off this way. When you start at the opposite end, outer tire can drop in the rim groove no problem (no valve in the way) and you mount it a lot easier. Hello from Croatia!
my tractor tires also have tubes, thats how i got it. one of them has a short split in the sidewall which i filled with silicon to keep crap out. but it works.
Hell of a deal...I had a Kubota 2550 it was a great working machine ... you're machine has a after market loader..if it had Kubota front end loader you're loading capacity would double
Great deal on the tractor!!! I was like, why in the HELL is he trying to drive the tractor off the trailer with a completely destroyed rear tire...lol. So glad you decided to change it on the trailer....
Congratulations on your tractor buy that's a steal bush hog worth near half. Looks like everything worked good mowes good 👍 . If you have one tire loaded and other one not that's not good one tractor or operator it'll pull stronger on loaded side. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy your tractor
For those that are looking for wheels to fit older tractors, Wenger Systems in New Holland Pa can make wheels to fit. He's done a few sets for me, and they always look nice.
Wow that is a deal of a lifetime. I am never lucky enough to stumble across deals like that. $1000 i would have bought that thing in a heartbeat. I could use it at my property to brush hog and move wood haha
First order of business remove the wheel check tire and rim for sharp object that pops the tire repair the tire problem mount the wheel and you just saved buying a tire in the event it gets damaged driving off flat good score on the tractor and brush hog
Dave, might be a good idea to get that over to Andrew's shop and you two guys do a good service on that thing! Andrew is the service expert. Great buy!
@@Dumpster_Dave I am sure some groveling, negotiating and begging will be involved. It would be a great episode for Andrew and you and Sam! Use the Sam helping do it angle, that should work for sure!
It's not water it's calcium chloride they fill it up with calcium fluoride so it doesn't freeze and Fire you turn around and just start a pollution program
You ought to be really proud of yourself ripping off the guy for not knowing what the value of what he was selling that's why I don't like doing business with private individuals I go through an Auctioneer it's his job to turn around and get the best price
Nice tractor. You gotta work smarter not harder bud. Do some research before just jumping into stuff. Makes stuff a whole lot easier. Anywhoo! Looks like a great deal. 4x4 , front loader, brush hog. All for 1,000 bucks. Wish I could find a deal like that.
Watching you struggle with installing the tire...could help from thinking, that would've been a great opportunity to use the other tire changing tool...
@@Dumpster_Dave you'd need to add antifreeze, that is what they do here in the UK, or use to do I should say, It's been a long time since I last did a farm tractors tyres. But I am assuming the water you got out of the tyre was inside the tube ???, if so it would have had some kind of antifreeze in it too
Look on u tube there a company that make storage building 3people can put it up for the tractor and any other supplies those diesel have glow plugs on the switch to warm to start as they don't like Cold temperature
Watching Rural King selling fluid filled tires on there new tractors are filled with beet juice because it won’t rust out the rims like calcium chloride.
USE YOUR GLOW PLUGS,,,,,,,,it will start much easier. Those Mitsubishi tractors have precombustion chambers with glow plugs. You should be able to rotate your key back to like a aux position to turn the glow plus on, on the dash there should be an indicator under a chrome cover, pigtail coil of sorts to show you when the glow plug is hot. Summer time you should be fine heating for about 20 seconds,, Winter 30-45 seconds, they are not the "newer" rapid glow plugs in your tractor.
Well, you were on the right path It may be flat from a screw nail. I always used a rag instead of my fingers to check the inside of the tire! Otherwise, when inflated it will puncture the new tube. You said "I don't know" is right! You made a lot of mistakes. "Keystone cops fixing a flat.
You had me feeling sorry for you struggling with that tire trying to slide it up to the tractor hub.. Next time use a bar to work it in.. The reason you lost the vale stem when you were mounting the tire, you should not have started to mount the tire there.. The bead needs to go down on the rim to give you room to work it all the way on the rim.. The bead could not go down with the valve stem there so it pulled it out.. Good thing you did not ruin the tube.. Good luck with your new tractor..
Check the gear oil in the gearbox on the brush cutter before you run it too much. If it's been sitting outside it probably has water in it. Great deal Dave. That's at least a $7500 tractor here in the Midwest.
@@Dumpster_Dave if you ever have to do it again use the tyre lever on the bottom of the wheel to put it back on the tractor it will save breaking your back
Hey Dave nice job on the tire I check what the tire says there suppose to be a lil squishy next why didn't you check your fluids before putting it t to work ( oil trans hydraulic radiator
