Your hour meter is a 4 digit unit and it probably has 10459 or more hours on it. The amount of damage in the transmission would suggest high hours.

Judging by the condition of the tractor, i would say this his highly unlikely. it could have been run low on hydraulic fluid. it could have come from the factory with a bad gear(then little chunks made more damage), it simply could have been abused. i honestly think its original hours

The little pedal is a gas feed not how you shut it down. The lever under the dash is how you shut it down. At idle pull lever up to shut it down.

Been a few years since working on a KUBOTA but there might be a detent that suppose to keep one shift fork from moving until the other is where it's suppose to be. Looks like someone had a problem with the clutch and did some serious grinding or they didn't have time to put it all the way into gear.LOL Where I use to work the boss had a KUBOTA I believe just like that one and it did run pretty good.......I just liked the old WD 45 Allis it ran circles around that one.LOL

it looks like they tried to use it as an on the move transmission the early kubotas you had to come to a complete standstill before changing gear nice find

As a I worked in a Kubota dealership we had a larger 70 hp tractor that did 20,000Hr before engine rebuild, Those little tractors are pretty much bullet proof The PTO i think should have an over run clutch on the shaft

When it comes to buying used farm equipment, or any type of tractor... you can expect to get what you pay for it. If you bought it cheap, expect it to be worn out, or have problems that will need to be fixed.....It amazes me how many people don't understand that. And then they blame the manufacturer, or the dealer (if it was bought from a dealer, instead of an individual or an auction), instead of blaming themselves for buying worn out equipment.

I got Kubota L245DT. Do you know anything about when I am trying to shift in gear? It grinds. It was working fine. I was working on the front tractor, like clean up the injector. I also painted the front loader. It was parked for a week. I did try to bend the footstep plate upwards that rubbing the clutch pedal. Now, grind whenever I try to get in gear. I have tried to adjust the clutch pedal linkage without success. I could put in gear and then step on the clutch to start and drive it. Any ideas what the issue is?
