Everywhere things have gotten so expensive and Mombasa being a resort town/ tourist town like many places allover the world that attract foreign currency and peoe coming with foreign currency and superior buying power ,prices went up and the locals end up struggling to be able to afford, same thing in Hawaii, Canada with Chinese billionaires purchasing power ,Europeans can't afford to buy homes back home and find it easier to purchase in Africa because of their currencies so that keeps prices high but, better buy land and build how you want and probably save 1.5million ,maybe 2.5m-3million get the house you really like, it's what I'm doing. Land when on offer at affordable price just a kilometer from the beach and then will build a villa/beach cottage .Best way to go about this.
