Buying Brand New Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R | First Ride & First Impressions  

Just found out that my quick shifter function was not turned on! I should have been able to shift without letting off the throttle.

I bought the KRT version a few months ago, worth every cent, can't recommend it enough, Team Green forever

It's a great bike for mtn riding and track days, and also one of the most comfortable full on sportbikes out there... Get the ECU flashed, there are a LOT of restrictions in there... secondary flies shut down at 14,000rpm, 4 degrees of ignition timing pulled on top... You might only pick up 2-3 peak HP with a flash and slipon, but at 15,000rpm, the increase in HP is more like 35 or so... It's huge... In stock form the power falls off a cliff at 14k, so the ECU flash removes that and lets it pull hard to 15.5k

I've got the 2020 model in black awesome bike , i put the arrow motogp2 muffler and newragecycles fender eliminator on it plus puig tinted windshield and shogun frame sliders such a cruiser

Love it man, so much fun and I was smiling the whole video! However, as a Kawasaki sales rep as well as ZX-6R owner, whoever sold you the bike didn't really go over the break-in procedures much did they! You were fine, it wasn't overkill but Kawasaki is very specific on their break-in RPM limits and such. Gotta baby her the first few hundred miles!

I come back to this video again and again because I love his voice...not the man but the machine. He's so soothing to hear. I'm straight BTW.

I remember the day I picked up my 2020 zx6r. Was at full power mode from the 1 mile mark to where it is now. Never felt the need to low power it

About 2 years ago I bought my Ninja 400 from that very same dealer and I drove down that same street for my first ride. I was too nervous to take it onto route 46. I need to upgrade to the ZX-6R. Good luck with it 👍

I am old fart 59, in 1985 in early 20s bought a 1985 600 ninja in red white color. I had only seen pictures, dealer had to go 200 miles to get it. I rode my brothers 900 ninja, next day ordered 600. Been decades, but that first ride will be in my.memory til i die. Best day ever, including wedding day. Sorry babe but ninja was prettier and more fun to ride, and she never complained, or said no ride today i have headache. Also she loved to scream as i lived at redline. Ahhhh youth was awesome.

I love watching the excitement of someone buying a new bike, cause it reminds me of when I bought my bikes. When I bought my liter bike I couldn't believe how fast and powerful it was.

Torn between this or the z900 as a second bike (2011 dyna street bob) Kawasaki hands down gives you the best bang for your buck, enjoy it man!!!

Videos saying it only has 115 hp are dyno pulls and that is 115 wheel horsepower, the 127 hp figure is referring to crank horse power. Thought I'd clear that up, I have a kawasaki z400 right now, I LOVE IT, this is gonna be my second bike though for sure. Awesome video, real reaction.

even if the quick shifter was activated you still shouldnt be using it for just around town its suppose to be used at the top of the rev range on track. you can get away with it but its not great for you or the bike

I just sold my MINT, and all original 2007 GSXR 1000, so I could purchase one of these newer styles ZX6R’s. I do a lot of City driving mostly. And I have never owned a 600CC bike. So, I’ve got the cash in my hands now, and I’ll have one over the weekend “Hopefully”! Anyways, I’m excited. I think it’s the best 600 on the market! I had my GSXR 1K for about 3 years, and I just don’t need the power like I use to lol.

i dont think we have a problem with accidentally popping a wheelie... especially with any of the mods on. unless you popped the clutch at high revs. its definitly comfortable for a super sport race bike with lights and blinkers. i only have turned the power from F full to L low one time when it was monsoon raining. i could tell a signifigant difference where i rode it in Full for a month.i had it on Full and KTC level 2. but i just today turned it all the way off and it opened up another riding experience..so FUN. and ill probably turn it back to KTC level 2 or 1 at least until i really have the experience and hand eye coordination, muscle memory ect on my 19 model ZX6R base model without ABS...because im similar to you,, i bought mine two months ago... LMAO you should have seen me when i first bought it..... i live 25 minutes from the Dragon in EAST TENNESSEE... i went up there the first week and turned around about 20 minutes down it.LMAO I have alot to learn and get the hang of... but im night and day difference nowand will probably hit the dragon this weekend . Be Safe bro and Have Fun!!!!! ... I know I am.. 7 if you get out my way theres alot of Great roads for curves or strait shots... plus the Famous Dragon maybe we catch up and BUZZ through there

Sometimes it’s the little things that annoy me. I love the 636 but the triple tree and gauge cluster look so damn cheap. Fortunately, you can buy an aftermarket triple tree. Otherwise, congrats and enjoy.

You must have a seriously strong and disciplined wrist. When I'm on mine I can't get my wrist to listen to my brain. My brain says let's do this slow you can't afford to drop this in any way but the rest of me is saying f that let's see what she can do. Lol

I am 5'6 with a 30in inseam. My biggest worry with buying this bike is the height. I think I am going to end up lowering it but do you feel comfortable coming to a stop and flat footing with the left foot like you mentioned in the video? Thats what I do now on my 650.

There’s a brake in period brother. That “new smell” is your engine getting abused. 4K/rpm first 250 miles. Anyway it’s a sweet bike enjoy it
