Hello All what do you think about this NEW Lego Imperial Shuttle?! Also, i'm awake now I have made the top of the cockpit wrong! XD Ill talk about this more in my Mods Video on the ship!
To be honest, this isn't a bad set, however, I would rather buy the Imperial TIE Fighter, Trouble in Tatooine, and the AT-AT vs Tauntaun Microfighters because that would be more of a bang for your buck than this.
There’s nothing wrong with this set at all! It’s aimed at 9+, who don’t give a s**t about the minifigs or what’s under the cockpit. I’m 54 and have over 100 Lego sets and this is a fine addition to those. A lot of the building techniques on this set are awesome!
I like parts of the design, but like you I think it has its share if flaws. However, I think fixing those flaws would be a fun challenge. I have seen a lot of videos of people making updates to the X-Wing to improve it and I think that would be a good challenge for this one. I think this build gives a lot of the bones to complete a better version.
Just did this, the set is underrated and the flaws easily fixed. Just removing a few pieces the shuttle can hold four minifigs easily and one storage crate ( or a 5th minifig)on top of the pilot. With a little effort you can even mod it to hold two pilots, carrying up to seven total figures.
Love your videos but, the reason you have to open the main body to get the cockpit open in this review is that you’ve built the cockpit wrong, the 2x6 white plate should be a stud closer to the windshield of the cockpit, and would therefore fix the issue you have
I picked up this set on sale the other day and tbh I don’t mind the set yes it has it flaws but I use this set to display I’m in my 20s and I’ve only just got back into Lego and honestly it’s worth buying a set every once in a while if it catches your eye
the double chin and lack of interior really hurts it for me, wish it couldve atleast came with some stormies too or something cause its a lack luster set with not much to show. i understand its a downscaled set and cant compare to the previous models, but they downsized way way to much. id get it if its on sale cause i dont have the vehicle
Your smoke machine is the greatest thing in the world. Your photography and videography shot choices are why I tune in every week! Keep doing what you do, your channel has quickly become a cut above most other Lego channels I watch.
13:16 you are the first person I have seen to actually have the 2021 Tie Fighter and Imperial Shuttle next to each other. I think they look quite good together, I may pick this set up after all.
I got it on sale at Wal-mart. I don't buy a lot of Star Wars because I feel it is overpriced. But for $55 this was a good deal. Got my first Vader figure. Got a decent enough ship. I am happy. Never would have bought it at $70 though.
Actually, I like the classic hair for Luke Skywalker. If you watch ROTJ, you’ll notice Mark Hamill's hair is neat and tidy through the whole film. Never once does his hair get messy. The newer hair style you’re referring to fits more into the EU of when Luke is older.
I have come to the conclusion that people in the Lego Star Wars community either hate or love Imperial Officer minifigures, as they would rather have stormtroopers or some other minifigure, but I am one of the people who adore them. We get so few sets with these Imperial flight crew or officers that I had to buy this set for the sole reason that it includes a pilot.
When I get this set I am definitely going to try and modify that cockpit. Never got any imperial shuttle before so its going to be a nice addition to the collection
I am going to buy this set because I need a Darth Vader and I am going to mod the Luke to make him from the Mandalorian, also I would like to get a Imperial shuttle to go with my new razor crest. Also I need a pilot to go in my Imperial base moc(it will never be done until Lego stops making Imperial and death Star play sets!)
This set was really disappointing. The cheaper X-wing and the TIE Fighter look good at the smaller scale, but the Imperial Shuttle did not translate well to this size. They should have made it $10-$20 more expensive, so they would be able to fix the design flaws
Ok so I wasn’t going to pay full price for this but we’re I live it sells for $56 at Walmart that is a real deal I wouldn’t have gotten it if it was the original $70
Honestly, I feel like for less than $60, it's really not a bad set. Plus for someone like me, who enjoys the prequels and the clone wars a lot more than the original movies (I guess mainly because of the clones), it's a nice addition. My goal is to just have a few tie fighters, this shuttle, and then a few other items to make a separate little Hoth moc and have that as the extent of my imperial army.
I wish they had a better way to get the shape of the cockpit/"head" of the ship, it's so sleek and straight in the film. It's one of my favorite ship designs in all of Star Wars, it's a shame these playset versions all look like Dobermans.
10:39 As Obi-Wan said: "That's... Why I'm here." Seriously though, great philosophy for reviewing, I respect that. Also... I'm out here with the 2001 version which was my first ever LEGO set, and I adore it.
God do I hate these downsized models. Giving up detail and quality takes away way too much for me to say it's worth the price decrease. I hope they'll go back to the standard scale because my collection is not complete without a TIE Interceptor and a TIE Bomber, and some downscaled sorry excuse for a set won't do the trick.
You are way too negative I bought it for 70 euro's and i love it! I keep it in flight mode on a stand. Its an eyecatcher The chin is easily moddible. It's LEGO!
