Buying This Tank and Semi did NOT go as Planned...

It is AMAZING in person. The truck inside is a customized truck with an Escalade front clip and is entirely airbrushed inside and out and is dedicated to the military. It was at the 2007 Grand Rapids MI Autorama. I had went out back to the loading dock as I was showing my car there that year and saw the semi. It should have been in the show as well. It was SO amazing the detail and time it took to do something that large.

i bet you that was a $75,000 paint job, if not maybe even closer to 100k

What people don’t realize is that the semi was never intended to be shown Dale just wanted something badazz to haul the heroes truck with to help it grab attention so more people got to see the pickup

Damn good idea. But I'm not sure that he bought the oilfield winch truck. None the less. A winch type transport system to and from the mountain top fortress is a good idea.

And people who want an excellent reputation with their customers along with whoever they do business with for being honest and trustworthy for many years to come will tell the truth. Honesty is the best policy for long term business and customers. Most people will stick with and trust an honest mechanic that gives you the whole truth over the guy that tries to sell everything under the kitchen sink that you don't need and does half ass work. That's a way to make a quick buck and screw customers over, but not how you get known as the best and get lasting constant business in the long run.

That truck has been on TV for years. I saw it on discovery Channel or something like that.

Its one of those things, to nice to drive, to expensive to just show off in.

Impresive work... but the motives and colours were extremely cringe IMO... from an artist perspective the characters looked stiff and lifeless with weird anatomy and the bright colours and weird landscape made it all look artificial and fake like those collectible paper clipouts from the last century they used to stick on honey cakes at christmas...... Impressive work but absolutely tasteless IMO! :D

Videos and pictures do that truck no justice it’s incredible and crazy as it sounds the entire purpose of the truck and trailer was to be used to haul the truck thats in the trailer around the country

Being from southern Ohio I’ve seen it a couple time also and to say pictures and videos don’t do either justice is a understatement

@@mrmotofy What gave that impression? But yes, then commanded an AUSLAV 25. Then became a Digital Cartographer (map maker) and Aerial & ground surveyor. We referred to the M113A1 as a Bucket. They are up to M113A5 now. Lots of new bells and whistles, plus they stretched it and added another set of Road wheels.

That's just how things were built back then. Go search 80's monster trucks or monster tanks on here and you'll find all kinds of sketchy looking vehicles nearly falling over just going over a few cars. INSANE how far monster trucks have come since then!

@@bustinyanutz4195 That would be cool but I was thinking since those tanked vehicles were big in the 80s and Heavy had that vintage RC car in the same era that a blown big block would be more period correct of what they were doing back then. Maybe a Hemi would be right too but with a screw blower.

Your gonna give people heart attacks telling them that lol. It’s hard for people to believe that they literally spent 130k on the paint job for the purpose of getting people’s attention when setup at shows and In parking lots so that more people got to enjoy the heroes truck and every mile the truck traveled it was working

Or like now my old audi. Guy had welded the gas tank that had rusted out... sure it keeps fuel in, but dumb ass didnt clean it afterwards, so all the crud went into fuel pump. Bought new pump and didnt learn about his mistake, second pump gone. Got fed up and sold it to next guy, who bought new pump.... and you guessed it...never got to replace pump and clean the tank. Bought it from that guy pretty cheap and in process finding inline large enough pump for cheap to run it trough boat tank so its runner, going to clean the fuel system before dropping the rear axle to remove that tank and check the guys work well as most likely coat it before reinstall to get her as proper runner. Still long way to utility restore but she aint half bad for 2.2L quatro for 500€ needing mostly cosmetics, few rust holes, headliner, windscreen and new set of rubber, fluids and belts before going back on the road. So yeah it could have story like that behind it, you never know.

Mickey is nonhuman with a air brush some the stuff he paints i’m convinced is clearer than a picture is

Derek is a master at reviving old V8's. Dave is more of a diesel guy. You know what Dave's problem was? He didn't check the lightning whirler and the sparkalators and probably didn't have any sparkles. He also didn't check the fuel make it happener and didn't say "bring the thunder" while trying to start it. That's why it was giving him so much trouble.

The guy that originally owned it used to setup in parking lots all the time so people could see the heroes truck(the truck inside)
