I owned a 2006 180 kompressor avant-garde and this car was very good. I went yesterday to the dealership and saw the latest S-Class and honestly, it was absolutely crap! The build quality was really poor, too much plastics in the vehicle, and the finish was awful, paint was really bad. After seeing what I saw yesterday, I don't consider Mercedes Benz a luxury product anymore, especially when I have to compare it with a vehicle that is 20 years older. It's such a shame.
I have a S203 year 2007 C280 (3.0 V6) with 4-Matic. Been through first winter season, it's a beast goes up any hill without a sweat. The second generation of 4-Matic utilized a full-time 4-wheel drive system with three open differentials front, centre and rear. Its not an awd or haldex/Electronic type awd.
Just got a 2001 c320 with only 87k miles! It still had the discs for the sat nav maps! I only paid $1900 cause it had that seat control issue, but I just spliced a couple wires and saved the cost of a new control module! The car is fantastic!
I own a 270 of these of 2001. Very reliable, going on 350k Kms with no big issues, but it's very ugly for a Mercedes. I keep it for practicality and fun to drive for such a cheap car. Good power and handling.
Try 2 tap the starter and try again if it works then it would be the starter. If it the relay just replace it or change it with one of the other ones in the engine bay
Still no luck after trying a new battery and new relays the car started for bit then turned off right after I did notice the car was stuck in park and wouldn’t go in to any gears .
I live in South Africa and interested in buying a w203 benz 2006 1.8 or 2.0 low mileage, model with sports package problem is how do I purchase and receive the car and how much does the process cost
I have a w203 from 2000 the only rust problem it had was on the open roof, if you planning to buy one with the open roof option just be careful, also it has 470k km and i have it for now 3 years, no big problems yet, only lights that cost 50 cents each
