Loved all your videos. Everything straight to the point. I would like to know if there is any difference in port setup between Indian 5 speed and RX King cylinder. Do you advise King's block in place of Indian 5 speed?
Difference is there. 5 speed having ex top to top cylinde height of 3cm. Inthe case of king it is 2.8cm. As of my knowledge. Hence cdi of both having. difference. King cdi and 5 s cdi entirely different. Malaysia most of straight road,, racing road setup with 4000-8000. powerband. In india 2250-5500. Range powerband. So cdi, port height must be different. You won't get good performance in a hillyclimb with king. But indian rx gives that to you.... especially in kerala territories..
Thank you for your prompt reply. yes the CDIs are different. Also the carb. King uses VM26. I'm using single map racing CDI in my bike that can throw strong spark till 12k RPM, but my hunt for 5-speed kit ended no avail. Hence I'm planning for the 3KA cylinder. Your reply was helpful. Thanks again.
@@SuperParuthi strong spark or spark intensity is not the hero. Every japaneese street bikes of late 80's are come with advancing ignition only. For low to mid performance on higher revvs they struggles. No retard igntn after a particular rpm to coolen the cylinder... NOW a days twostroke r not street legal in europe as well as south america... only track use.. 80cc twostroke is enough for them to build a 25-30 HP power with retarded timing+powervalve+LC. @@TRIVANDRUMBASEDKERALITE There was one ignition system sold by RDD dreams Bangalore that had the option of advancing or retarding ignition curve, but again it's no more available. Currently I'm running a 4-speed cylinder on an otherwise complete 5-speed setup bike. The bike clearly suffers lack of a cylinder that support higher RPM hence lack of top end. That's why I'm looking for an engine that has ports that support higher RPMs. This is my 7th cylinder. previous 3 were 5-speeds and those were good, but I lost all of them 😞 now I'm left with no other option other than either 4-speed or King cylinder. I had several doubts about King setup since it has less compression ratio compared to Indian version, but a bigger carb and a close ratio gearbox. Anyway I'm having a VM26 carb with me, let me see how a King engine performs with Indian 5-speed gear ratios ☺
Lot of things Altitude. (Elevation ) Port sizes are depend on it. And theese clip position gives you the acceleration. So very cautious on needle jet taper and clip. It is to be positioned as per your thrott 1/4 -3/4 position. First have a ride to hillclimb @1/4 to 3/4 throttle opening for 20 mint.(as per that only 2&3 gear is recommendable) then remove plug then check for chokelate clor. If it is dark then lean the clip postion and vice versa. Thank u
Thanks for replying bro. Recently bought 2000 model rx135 5speed. Previous owner said it's running on 1st oversize. Intial pickup and in gear acceleration is good but engine seems to stress after 80 and vibration is more in the handlebar(rd350 replica). Bore, carb and catcon all are of 5 speed. My location is not a hilly area. Il give a try by changing the clip position 1st n 3rd slot and post my experience. Agn thank u for replying immediately.
