Any tips for someone starting their own pesticide company? I have 10k saved up and my dad has put me in the landscaping industry since I was 13 and i am now 18 about to take my core test. Watched your videos about the core manual and I thank you for them.
The first thing I would ask you is what is your passion? Once you decide your passion and purpose for applying pesticides, then you can choose what niche to go down. Where are you located?
@@ElevateApplicate My passion is to help the business that my dad started and worked so hard for so that he can retire, he was supposed to retire a year ago but can’t because of the economy and starting up a pesticide business would benefit both of us. I am located in oklahoma
Well, that's a very honorable reason. Does your fathers company do mowing or strictly landscaping? If he does mowing, it may be beneficial to perform weed control and fertilization to laws. This also blends into what the company has been managing and taking care of. If it is just a landscaping company that performs installations, you may want to focus on tree and shrub insect and disease management. You could also just go a completely different route like I have and find a very specific niche industry.
@@ElevateApplicate he does mostly mowing, but we do install flowerbeds and cut and trim shrubs and trees every now and then. I would like to get into ornamental and turf and thought you might have any tips on either equipment, pesticide companies, or ipm program
Just start, pass your core, ornamental and if your state does not requires a QUalified Person. -experience, you are set. Keep mowing and every time you see weeds offer the help. Contact your existing mowing clients. People see benefit in having one lawn provider. What are your biggest worries?
