Byarlant Development History 

I remember seeing Unicorn episode 4 and thinking "WTF is THAT coolass thing wrecking shop?" Then I realized it was the Byarlant and I had already seen it in action during Zeta.

There's a strange yet beautiful elegance of the Byarlant Custom when it's flying and fighting.

Never underestimate built in weaponry, or a knuckle buster. As many Jegans will attest.

The fact there were two customs at torrington is very concerning. Imagine if both maneged to launch successfully

Who ever was piloting the byarlant during neo zeons attack is an absolute beast of a pilot that fight was just nuts it was a showcase of better tech and skills.

Stark Jegan and Byarlant Custom are some of the most bad ass grunts in Unicorn

honestly i feel like the Byarlant Custom is way more intimidating then the original particularly cause of those way bigger claws you would think maybe make them like Zeons Iron Nails or maybe even heat claws but nope i think they were just there for shits and giggles

The Byarlant is proof that sometimes all you need is high speed, high maneuverability, and a good base weapon to get shit done. I never really liked it before, mainly the odd design and piloted by Jerid, but definitely some respect has been earned after this.

Byarlant Custom & Stark Jegan were real titans that carried Gundam Unicorn OVAs. Wish we had more MS and pilots like them in other Gundam titles (like Brave Souls squad from Gundam 00 movie)

Byarlant is one of mobile suits that scream "Ace Pilot Only" in term of firepower? yeah he is not powerful but lack of powerful, he got high speed and really great agility and great reaction where ace pilot can show their full potential. With that said byarlant is only monster when Ace pilot use it

The byarlant showing up in the Unicorn when they were invaded was a lifesaver. Seriously this mobile suit has only 2 weapons and still kick ass.

Byarlant is one of those suit designs that I hated when I first started getting into this hobby. It was so weird, and not exactly humanoid. But over time I've actually grown to appreciate for that exact reason. In a universe filled with so many "man made out of boxes" designs, it's nice to see something weird and different pop up.

A very unexpected one. But still its very much appreciated.

One of my favorite mobile suits. it’s funny how this thing has kinda become Jerid’s signature mobile suit over things like the Baund Doc. But then again, this is Jerid, where most of his suits are grunt tier. So the Byarlant is the only semi-elite suit they can use for him.

I think the Byarlant Custom's counterattack in Unicorn is one of the best scenes in the anime.

Finally, a video about one of the most underrated TEETANZ suits piloted by one of the most underrated characters in Universal Century. Jerid, nobody else may love you, but I do.

Hopefully It Will appear in gbo2 soon, the byarlant and it's custom version. They're so awesome.

I remember watching the Zeta episode where Jerid acquired the Byarlant and I was like "What an ugly mobile suit, fitting for an asshole like Jerid, then it started ripping MS apart like tinfoils and give Kamille and Karaba a run for their money. Its one of my favorite suits alongside the Gaplant and The O, they are fast, agile, and they carry limited but powerful weaponry.

Although it was dope watching the Byarlant whoop wholesale ass, I gotta give props to that Zee Zulu for jumping in to save his Z'gok buddy, stripping his heat saber to charge the attacking MVP Byarlant.

That Byarlant Custom from Gundam Unicorn was a one mobile suit wreaking crew, it should have made scrap metal out of the Efret,and the Shamblo.

Jerid's Byarlant did achieve a big kill, ironically its own allied unit the monstrous Psycho Gundam.

Byarlant is one of my absolute favorites both from Zeta and Unicorn.

I'll be honest, The Byarlant wasn't my favorite designed mobile suits when I first started getting back into the UC timeline. But after watching that fight at Torrington on Unicorn made me love its design. Gonna plan on getting the Byarlant custom sometime.

Every time I see that byarlant custom clip, I feel the urge of buying that kit just because of how cool he moves even if it is just a minute-long video.

WHO WOULD WIN: THE ENTIRE ZEON REMNANT ARMY LEFT ON EARTH WITH EXTRA HELP OR ONE SINGLE "UNDERGUNNED" BYARLANT.

Using pure thrust to fly. I guess they never heard of fuel consumption.

Byarlant was born from a TR-1 Hazel?

Please keep on making these. I love AOZ and titans but I just don’t know much about them and can’t find much info on RU-vid. Your videos have made me love them even more. TR-6 Hazel II would rock my world. The design of that one got me into gunpla.

It’s also very important to note that the Zee Zulu’s that the Byralant custom destroyed were brand new for the time. Crazy that a suit with such an old basis could destroy them

So if the original lacked fire power, I have a spark of innovation. Maybe a small rack of missles mixed with some powerful beam vulcans that are mounted on little turrets across the body. Make the claws on the hands stronger, and make the feet into claws, so now you can shoot by default and crush and swipe up close. Or again, turn the hands into normal hands, put the cannons into the mid section as a bonus hip mounted weapon, some vulcans in the head and then you put a beam rifle into the normal hands. A much simplier solution. Apparatus is a great idea though.

The Byarlant in Unicorn really took my attention since the first time i saw it in battle

Unit 2 was the coolest variant imo plus adding the fact that if it wants to it can also incorporate regular beam rifles or bazookas as optional armament made it a potentially much more devastating unit

The Byarlant is such an under rated MS. Have been playing GBO2 for a while and can already tell that the Gouf Flight Types are fun to use and cant wait for the Byarlant to finally make an appearance.

I love the Byarlant so much, especially the Byarlant Custom, gotta love that Jegan-like visor.

Byarlant Custom Unit 1 is my favourite desing in all of Gundam. Everyone can wreck things with a state of the art prototype super mobile suit, but it takes a special level of awesomeness to rip through that many suits with whats essentially an old ms upgraded with old parts.

I always love that MS, the thin design that came from that 80's era, is my favorite of all time

In my school vr game goalius has enhanced flight technology and it is a absolute unit sense goalius was pretty heavy at 2500 tons original 90000 tons but went into gms ( special sports facilities that increases mobile suits strength speed and mobility) and fyi Goalius was able to kick ass anytime anywhere anyway and anyhow and get this he once destroyed a zaku 3 squadron and returned back to home in minutes

ERRBODY loves the Byarlant. My fave is the Titans version, but especially my custom Titans version. Extra thrusters, extra cannons and shield boosters

I don't recall too much of the byarlant in zeta, there's so many machines. In unicorn tho, this thing just emerging and going one man army. Wrecking Zeon suits with a mix of firepower, close range brutality and a double helping of speed.

The reason people think the byarlant was under- equipped is because they fundamentally fail to understand it's role. That purpose being to use it's speed and mobility to control a conflict. To give a picture, imagine in the middle of a fist fight the dude you were fighting flew into the air, got behind you, and punched you in the back of the head. That's it, thats the byarlant

Whoa the Byarlant Custom Unit 2 looks incredible! I've never seen it before. The built in canons attached to the boosters, the arm mounted beam rifles that double as long beam sabers, small shields covering those, a flight pack for long range flight. And it has hands so its (in universe) critics can shut up. What a damn elegant design. Apparently Riddhe was supposed to have used it once in the Unicorn Manga, but they took it out of the OVA. What a waste. I would have loved to have seen this thing animated. I've always loved the Byarlant line in general. Their concept is so elegant and simple, and I love the cheeky little in canon nod to the fallacy of the idea that all mobile suits have to adhere to this perfectly humanoid shape with the Hazel Ikaros that inspired making the Byarlant aerodynamic. It just has such a neat and unique shape, and I also love the built in weapons. I could almost see it as another bit of lampshading that people in the Universal Century would consider it "undergunned" simply because it has built in weapons rather than traditional manipulators, even though the benefits of having a built in all-round weapon like its M Particle Gun are substantial in their own right. The Custom Unit 1's performance is always one of the things even casual watchers of Unicorn often remember.

Both the Byarlant custom and it's Ace Pilot were phenomenal as soon as it sortied to fight in Torrington and I can never get enough of that battle in unicorn. Not only that I'm pretty happy that one of my favorite factions regarding mobile suits didn't have an ass of a pilot like most titans.

The Byarlant is my favorite Earth Federation mobile suit.

I may be very late but the byarlant custom is easily my favorite non gundam mobile suit. The way it performed by kicking massive zeon butt made one hell of a amazing impression!!!!!
