21:18 The charge port is on the left side which is the right side, but the steering wheel is on the right side which is the wrong side since people in Thailand drive on the left side which is the wrong side. They should drive on the right side which is the right side and have the steering on the left side which is the right side. Then they would have perfect placement for the Ora charge port is on the left side which is the right side.

Drivers in Thailand seem to be the same as in Australia :) The fast lane is the slow lane and the slow lane is the fast lane

@@leiyue1411 it’s awesome! It’s not as fun as a polestar or as comfy as a Mercedes EQS but it’s not as cheap feeling as a ID3 either. Very calm and behaved! Easy to drive and easy to love. Sound is good enough and seats are better than many for a 1.8m guy like me.

The check marks on the C pillar "reminds me of the VW ID3." Only that BYD did it better. Thankfully, my ID3 doesn't have them, but I wouldn't mind the BYD checks.

Just drove from Canberra to Sydney Australia yesterday in my Atto3. Stopped 1/2 way and it was charging 88kW from 50% to 85% on the 350kW charger (Sutton Forest McDonalds). It then dropped to 33kW from there. We unplugged at 94%

the slowness of charging might be not from the battery tech most of the time it's from the network electricity capacity

The throttling at 25% is different..... I have found it keep around 88% until at 65%. I wonder if the vehicle for hire is configured differently than normal Atto 3.

Thanks for the test, Bjorn 👍. For a 2022 car, Atto 3 is meh. Not really a ID.4 competitor. Also not an Niro competitor. Even ZS ev here in Europe is more apealing... BYD has still a lot of homework to do, if they want to compete.

I'm driving a peugeot E208 & it's shit for charging. Highest it's been on a 50kw charger, is 19kwh, this is at a motorway charger, all other drivers are connecting & charging at 45kwh or more ?? Why is this Peugeot so crap?? Enjoy your time in Thailand, I love it there!

@@rui569 For most of its existence BYD has been making really crappy Toyota copies. Some of their cars still drive like so. But they held firmly on batteries and hybrid technology which finally began to pay off circa 2020. So it's all still relatively new. I've driven the Seal. Can say that it's a stride for BYD than any of its previous models. Just wait for them hitting Europe...

I can see a lot of tariffs being placed on Chinese vehicles to prevent them from just flooding markets the same way other Chinese goods have, not knocking them at all since they look good and work for as long as folks need them, it's just that domestic goods are so pricey in comparison and auto markets are kind of the last vestige of western civilian manufacturing.

Thank u Bjorn. Sadly, Thailand is about 5years behind most European Countries. Be careful about the others and the not logic roads bc as U know , Thailand has the most Road Kill per 100'000 people in the world. I life here for 17years and it's getting more and more disgusting, also with almost no basic universal human rights, World Champion in Military Coups and NO Democracy. We call it Thailand-Thaitanic... ups, for this i could go to jail here. I also don't understand the love from so many Thais for Terrorist Genocide Xi China and his Car Mafia here. Bjorn can you please stop referring to these Ev's as killers of another brand/s they are competitors. I have owned this vehicle in Australia now for 3 months and have not had any issues and the software works flawlessly unlike VWs crappy software. We are just waiting for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as an over the air update that should not be too far away.

Too bad the charging speed sucks Jingleballs. Anything under 100(that the car can actually take IN not the total KW they brag about) Is starting to get old and useless. This car in Norway winter at -10 or lower would probably slosh along at 30kw. Very unfortunate since the car is pretty nice and the price in norway is good. The MG4 though completely crushes the charging speed of the BYD.

It's Chinese....... will never sponsor that country on technology based products (I know it's difficult to achieve, but at least I try). Don't want them to make money so they can continue their dangerous behavior. Nice car but for me as stupid as buying a Russian product. I run several companies and non are allowed to lease/buy chinese technology or highend products, period. And yes sometimes we pay more (but most of the times..... lot's of good alternatives). Nothing to do with Bjorn (love his video's....... he convinced me to start buying Tesla's).
