He want Ed to be the guy straight off the gate and that’s why he doesn’t ever get playing time he has character flaws not issues look up why he doesn’t get pt and research a little he’s good enough just has flaws coaches see he doesn’t buy into system they bench him
@@beastmode2978 What character flaws? Give me one single credible source that says Jimmer isn't coachable or has character issues. Hint: you can't, because there aren't any. The Kings mishandled his development appallingly. That's not his fault.
vince3139 Steph is a much better athlete than Jimmer. Much quicker and a better handle. Taller too. You can only do so much with his physical limitations. Jimmer was never going to be special in the NBA. Hopefully he can carve out a Steve Kerr-like role on the Spurs though.
***** I never hopped on the Jimmer train because of the things you pointed out but just see Patty Mills' success in the 2014 playoffs. Jimmer can replicate that for sure. Just gotta buy into the system.
+Brandon Van Jimmer tested much faster and stronger in the combine than Steph (look it up), and he only gives up an inch in height, but has a good 15 lbs of muscle on him. Jimmer is plenty big and athletic for an NBA PG - well above average, actually. The big things that Steph has on Jimmer are his handles and a system that adapted to him. That's how he's able to get his shot off with such ease. Hopefully Jimmer figures that part out, because love him or hate him, nobody can deny how fun he was in college.
Jimmer had a chance he became a bust n went to China for a couple years where he averaged abou 50 PTS n then when a team actually got an offer he declined it n said it was time to pay attention to his family....
Man that Jimmer team is like the Warriors, shooting threes like crazy. Jimmer is like Steph Curry with the ultimate range. Too bad things don't work out for him in NBA.
@@vivekkandasamy5317 because Kawhi is reminded of how he lost so bad to Jimmer but at the same time he is satisfied because his career took off further than Jimmer
@@trackcoachmac kahwi isnt a good defender against quick guards who can shoot lol idk y ppl over rate kawhi on defense, he is built to guard sf not elite guards that can used speed and shooting, that's y Steph always toucrches him
@@vroksii lol just admit u ain't watch college ball back then, curry been killing from deep deep....a coach litterally played like triangle and 2 on Steph at davidson
2:03 That's a sick behind the back crossover and then nailing it from 3 feet behind NBA range. If that was Kemba Walker they'd be showing that highlight all day. For Jimmer, just another day at the salt mines.
Remember that time SDSU won the Mountain West Tournament and Kawhi Leonard (the guy who played in the NBA championship last year) laughed in Jimmer-Jammer's (the guy who doesn't leave the bench) face??? I do, best night of my life!
It kills me how people think steph is the epitome...this man jimmer has range like Chris Jackson aka Mahmoud Abdul Rauf...google his college highlights..lead the nation in scoring as a freshman and sophomore
truly amazing jimmer fans lets stay together and support him for the rest of he's career we know that he is the next big thing GO JIMMER PROVE THE HATERS WRONG
@JoshBroz Gotcha. I thought of this video as more of a recap of Jimmer's game vs. SDSU, and not a highlight reel of his best 3's (which there are some out there). Jimmer's assists in this game were a big reason the Y won.
What are people talking about? "not very quick", "cant create seperation" .. i Watched at least 15 games. He DESTROYED any defender one on one. NOT ONE DEFENDER IN A LL OF THE NCAA including Arizona & Florida could come close to checking him. He Embarrassed everyone that stepped up to defend him. He is as quick as anyone in the draft including Irving and Walker. AND he shoots better than anyone on the planet. This kid will be a star in the NBA.
@Santana2163 ???? im taking about Fredette not BYU...BTW they were playing without their starting center and STILL played Florida to a tie after 3 quarters....
say what you like....he's in the NBA and that's something none of you all can say...he has $$$$$ too....the right team will pick him up and he will find his place..
FYI: Jimmer is not only outplaying Brooks and Thomas ..Jimmer is outplaying every point guard in the NBA . Fredette is Number 1 in scoring in the NBA for point guards(points per 48 minutes)-- and his Player Effeciency Rating puts him 5th in the NBA for PG's behind CP3, Westbrook and T Parker..in front of Rondo, k Irving and Kemba Walker..These are serious numbers and serious company Fredette has put himself n ...not to mention that Fredette is # 1 in the NBA in free throw shooting.
This guy is out here being the CBA MVP, winning Greek championships and still never really getting a chance to shine. The big problem is he isn't going to be a PG at the NBA level and he's undersized as a 2 guard but if you brought him in fresh off the bench like a Kyle Korver or mike Miller type with the right system he has that same type of ability to take over the game
@JoshBroz Why do people think that for an assist has to be great it has to be an amazing pass? Jimmer creates many of those assists because of his shooting ability and his ability to drive the ball, and then he's able to pass it to the open man.
I'm disappointed that my Knicks and that garbage as "coach" rambis did him dirty.he should've been starting the remaining Knicks game over calderon to build a chemistry with melo and porzingis.should've been a starting guard in the nba already, look how steph curry has improved in his years as a starter.good luck dude..👍👍
...and yet, he wasn't enough in the MWC game that counted...and not much after. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Mountain_West_Conference_Men%27s_Basketball_Tournament
I don't know if I can see him being a success in the NBA. He's not very quick and can't create a whole lot of separation between him and his defender, so his one-on-one game will suffer. The stuff he did in college may have worked, but the NBA is a different beast. Just ask JJ Reddick. Nonetheless, I hope he proves me wrong. Watching Jimmer torch the opposing team was so much fun.
Welp, who had the last laugh? Kawhu laughed Jimmer off the court in the MWC tournament. SDSU #10 now, BYU is MIA. Kawhi is the next face of the Spurs franchise per Pop. Fredette is MIA. Aztec for Life!
If Jimmer went to the Spurs and Kawhi to the Kings, they'd be in opposite boats. Can you imagine Jimmer, who shot 89% from the corner and 47% from 3pt overall in Pop's system? As a huge Spurs fan, that would be fantastic - a big upgrade from Patty Mills (who was great last year).
He was good for more than 1 year...the media only covered him for 1 year so if that's the only way you followed him you would think he was only good "for like 1 year".
What a joke that he was drafted ahead of Kawhi. Knew it was a joke at the time. Undersized and couldn't (wouldn't) play a lick of defense. No surprise he couldn't make it with the Spurs. Great college player who couldn't possibly make the transition.
+14Moshu don't talk uninformed nonsense, pop clearly said it was not jimmers performance that got him cut, it was the roster already having 3PGs, he even said he was rooting for him, and jimmers only bad year statiscally in the nba has been with the pelicans, and that was because he shot bad from 3 although he only averaged >1< 3pt attempt there, other than that he played good.
ANY athlete can learn to play defense. And frankly how many great defensive guards can you name in todays game? The truth is at the NBA level help defense is key and fighting through pick and rolls . Fredette has more strength than ANY guard in the draft. He is as quick as any of them and might be the best scorer on the planet.
I love the stats at the beginning. 27 ppg, but 41 ppg vs ranked teams. I'm pretty sure those ranked teams have better defenses than the un-ranked ones. Eat it Jimmer haters.
