Let me just say, and this is coming from a UTE fan, how absolutely heart broken I am to see Taysom Hill out for the season! He is a true hero! I was so happy that the Cougars won, but hearing what happened after the game was over brought me to tears! He is one of the greatest football players I know! It pains me to say this, but he is WAY better than Wilson! I hope Taysom gets better soon! Who knows! Maybe he will get to play at least one more game this season! He did play for a pretty long while with a broken foot. I don't know. Just wishful thinking I guess. Anyway, congrats BYU! You guys really deserved that win! I may be a UTE fan, but I do like a good BYU game! I guess you could call me a BYUte. Dat hug tho!

These are the sweetest victories because this was pretty much a loss till the last play of the game. Winning 60-0 is great or beating a top 25 team but when you win like this it is just awesome.

The announcers reaction makes the great replay. There are so many great plays where the announcer made it sound like watching paint dry. This one was well done. Scully, Michaels, Gus Johnson are good at that stuff.
I literally never watch college football but decided to watch this game while it was already 4th quarter and 3 minutes to go and I seen the hailmary win and decided I need to watch college football lol this was crazy
just gonna say.. one of the plays before this they ran or of bounds with five seconds left and the clock went back up to six.. don't know if it was a broadcast problem or not but go back and watch and you'll see

You just don't know football if you think Riley is going to do the same thing at Nebraska that he did at Oregon State. Even though Pelini left the cupboard bare at many positions, Riley has vastly more talent at his disposal at Nebraska than he did at Oregon State. And he can recruit almost any player in the nation now. He and his staff have already made a number of new inroads on the recruiting trial, and he's only been on the job 8 months.

Talk about braindead players/coaches with no situational awareness - What's the penalty for pass interference in college football? 15 yards, right? It's not like it's a spot foul like in the NFL, so when the Nebraska players saw that they were in trouble and had let the BYU WR get in a good position, they should've just interfered the hell out of him.

If only Bronco Mendenhall were an honorable coach, this would be easier to stomach. But then again, if Broco Mendenhall were an honorable coach, he would have suspended the players that were supposed to be suspended, and Nebraska would have won this game, and more than likely by a couple TDs. Mike Riley, being an honorable coach, suspended 5 players for much less serious infractions than fighting on the field...AFTER the game was over in BYU's bowl game. And do BYU fans think we didn't notice #56 right in the middle of the fight? I saw many of those other numbers that were in the middle of the fight playing on the field in Memorial Stadium this past Saturday. Were they the same players as last year? Not sure, but I know #56 was the same player, and how he was playing in this game was beyond me. Isn't there a mandatory 1-game suspension the next game after being involved in a fight? We also know that his backup sucks, and BYU couldn't practice with him in instead of their starting center (#56), because the backup got stomped by their defense. What did Nebraska do? We had to start a redshirt freshman at LB instead of our starter, Michael Rose-Ivey, who is one of our 2 best players on defense. We also started a sophomore at CB instead of our starter, which directly resulted in at least one BYU TD. The suspensions, or lack thereof on the part of BYU, had a direct impact on the outcome of the game.
+Lyle Stavast But Tejan Koroma, who was involved in the starting of the fight with Memphis players, was right there playing in the middle of BYU's OLine the entire day in Lincoln. Not to mention Mendenhall said that around 10 players would be suspended when asked last spring. Like I said, one of the coaches on Saturday has character....and Mendenhall doesn't. I'm proud of Riley for sticking to his guns, even though it hurt our team's play pretty substantially.
No he said disciplined, not suspended. Even the great ANTI-BYU SL Tribune quotes him as saying disciplined. He's not the guy to let things go. Looks like 3 of the 4 were over the bowl game.
+Lyle Stavast, I was almost certain there was an NCAA rule that states if you are involved in fighting, you automatically miss the entire next game. Not sure how he skated around that one. Maybe it's been changed. At any rate, why was your center even suited up? That guy should have been the first guy on your team suspended.
Self defense. Go look at what happened before he turned around. Can't comment on the ncaa rule on fighting but obviously it doesn't appear to have been enforced or otherwise brought up. Nacua, yeah....the helmet swing was over the top. It was incredibly embarrassing to BYU and sponsor. It hasn't been swept under the carpet but how much and who of disciplines will be made public I don't know. And, may not be over yet either. Maybe some guys are short leashed and will get doubled down on if anything else even minor transpires. Mendenhall is a pretty good guy, I trust he'll take care of it all.

Lavelle won a game on a hail Mary pass that was much bigger than this and you didn't see him out there doing what Bronco did. Easy to see. And I'm not talking about rushing the field. +ohsaywhatistruth it's true. Ive handled the loss by now. We just lost to Illinois, im over it. But it's true they're dirty. No team hits that late, especially at the knees, and there's no way punching that dude in the nuts was an accident either.
