The best part was when they sent the punting-unit out onto the field with about 8 minutes left, and Jimmy Mac said "Hell no. We're going for it, and we're gonna win this thing!"
As a young lad, I was, of all places, at tithing settlement when the Cougs completed their miraculous comeback, so, Alas!, I missed it live. I have had a chance to see it "Memorex" plenty of times since then, however. ;-D Speaking of missing [or almost missing] great sports moments while doing "church-related stuff," I was home teaching when John Stockton hit "the shot" that sent the Utah Jazz to the NBA Finals the first time. The ladies we were teaching asked my companion and me what time the game was on, and we said, "Right now." So they turned it on and we watched the last six or so minutes of it. The Jazz were down by like a dozen, and I thought, "Yeahhh, there's no way. But they pulled it off, thanks to John Stockton's and Karl Malone's last-second heroics. Fun times!
