I had the privilege to have listened to this performance live on TV in 1996 with my mom at home back in western China. My mom was cooking but she stopped to listen to this song. We didn't speak English but we were so touched. My mom turned up the volume to its maximum! Since then we both became her fans. Now my mother has passed away but each time this song brings me those precious memories, goose skin and tears. Thank you Celine!

Last October me and my husband had the opportunity to see Celine in concert at Caesars Palace, and it was noted not only by me and my husband, but several others as well that her voice is still just INCREDIBLE !!!! And, she is so hilarious!! I mean she had EVERYONE -including the husbands- laughing so hard!! Then afterwards my husband said it was better than he thought it would be, and was glad I FINALLY convinced him to go!😆👍💘💕❤

Many people on RU-vid suggest it was lip synched (and many video posts of this performance aren't always looped the best, contributing to that perception). It was not. She was at the height of her vocal powers at the time and very comfortable with BIG expectations, and she delivered. You can hear the almost shout at the very end of her last note. If you saw it live in '96, there was no question. This is the best posted version. What a talent.
