Probably a 'DOH' moment for me - i could not get waypoints to work - but in using this co-ords method - i realized i was not in fullscreen mode - so the screen was moving slightly so i guess mucking up the co-ords. Once in fullscreen the waypoints worked - many thanks.

Back to back comments. When you Sync, make sure the Herc is already started... all 4 engines. If not, the Pilot may have to shut down any running engine and do the startup procedure again to snyc correctly. Also, the pilot must have the Herc running in order for the Copilot to be able to use the CDU, otherwise the Copilot has to jump out and back in once the engines are running.
Hey Grim, Seen this video it’s about 25 mins long but the beginning fight should have a Surprise. But I’m going to spoil it because I’m going to make this rule for you. I challenge you and your entire team to recreate this missiles to missiles Collision will proximity the detonation with an many aircraft as u can or a set of choices Either your choice or the team can choose their own. You must do that same stone in that video with proximity fuse missiles, or with any missile, and for the funds and giggles, With bombs and against one destroyer Or a land base missile launcher grand to air. You can man the land or AI. You must do this as close as you can with out blowing each other up. Then repeat this as far as you can even if you 10 miles out or more, Highly doubt it will work at the extreme range. But for fun and giggles. This one skill to master when play Multiplayer Or against AI missions that y’all do. No time limit. I strongly recommend practicing before live streaming get your teams together. When you say the CBM just do it once. My challenge to you’ll get tired of saying it and the viewers will get to tired of you saying it. Sarcastically and enthusiastically.
Remember the NET SYNC function is not battery powered in any way even though it appears in cockpit. You can and should sync crew first thing even with a cold and dark airplane. We have found that only the host had to port forward (not confirmed) and the two can simultaneously initiate connect procedure. Just to be safe you probably want the plane-owner (pilot) to be first in case it's master-slave instead of peer-peer.
The reason for the port forwarding both ways is to transmit and recieve info between the pilots, there is no reason to restart the game to get the ip to update, al you need to do is leave the cockpit and go back in.
Just wondering if there are plans to get the multicrew back eventually to the straight forward way of joining like it was before? As I've found a few multiplayer servers with the herc I'm not really up for giving my ip out to some random stranger on the other side of the globe! Lol. Also does this now mean on multiplayer the pilot cant switch seats to the rear etc now like the huey is now?
Little sad waypoints don't work in the Nevada map now. I had used them in 6.1 release. Thinking maybe skip this update so it doesn't break the Nevada waypoints since I wasn't having any problems with them.
🙋🏼♀️ now that the herc has multi crew, why don't you recreate the photo/video of a typhoon (you could use a flanker or another jet) sticking it's nose into the back of a herc, close enough to touch from the ramp. And here's the real challenge: without crashing. I dare you Cap

found out its an issue so they are working on it. sorry! my advice, cause i fly vr, if you plan on flying the herc, bind your views to a 4 way hat like i have and fly on monitor. i know it sucks, but thats my advice for now
weve had no reports of this happening, those who have said this turned out to be a graphics driver error. because it crashes before the herc is even loaded
It is controlled from the lower instrument now by the throttles, were you normally do the weight for speed bugs to display. Totally different method than is shown here.
Is this mod still working? i have just installed it after the last update and it crashes on mission start, including the missions that come with the mod. Is this happening to you as well Cap?
Yeah, nutty but works I guess. Would be nice for it to recognize all the formats and convert them as needed. Having to switch to a specific format for capture is silly.
5:40 I am running v6.8.2. Was it fixed. Cause I do not get the steam checkbox option... Also note: My steam is on C: drive. My game is on A: Drive. If it matters
No, Its confusing people that section of vid i think. DCS is by default already open on port 10308 both UDP and TCP. It just works, well has for me and 4 mates WITHOUT port forwarding ANYTHING. The only issue that may arise is if your IP is dynamic, sometimes it may change unbeknownst to you and you will get multiplayer kicked from the NETSYNC in the plane, so either make your IP Static, or just check external IP every time you play etc. Hope this works for you as well
@@CallsignShoe That's all I did mate yep, change a handle name to your friend etc and put his EX IP in the spot save and exit, Seems the most important thing is to get the NETSYNC sequence correct, Don't touch any controls until your crew is accepted etc etc
I have installed the Mod but It made my game soooo slow, so I had to uninstall It, does it requires more from the computer than a normal module would??

Would be too great if we could just punch in the numbers. But yeah, screenreading from a VR mirror is quite a challenge as you don't have a fixed location for the coordinates anymore with the virtual 2D screen map floating in front of you in 3D space. Every head movement will change the position and low res devices like the CV1 make it extra hard.

I remember when you could literally see all the IP addresses in the console of the original Il-2 back in the day... at least when they joined. BTW where I live it's literally standard to get a new IP every 24h from the ISP, so it never stays the same. In some cases that doesn't happen automagically, then you'd just have to make your router reconnect at some time where you're not using the connection, probably while sleeping unless you let some things run over night. In the end you do drop your IP address anywhere where you post things or even just log in to anyway. And since multicrewing probably is something that will mostly be used within squadrons or with buddies that actually are friends, I guess it's not that much of a problem anyway.
what's the deal with not giving out ip addresses? not like feds want the guys or something. plus it's most likely a dynamic address, plus to the public it's only a rough estimation of a city + isp... or am i wrong? if i am, i'd love to hear why, to be more educated on that
@@arrtemfly some people in the community don't like them plus it is better to not give your ip address and you shouldn't just rely on a dynamic address just to be safe
