What a cool video! I love that idea of doing the base push with the Scrin fleet, I never thought of that, it makes sense, it's so flavorful too, since the Droneship can fly, so it's like this roaming space armada depositing some harvesting installations and support weapons. Thanks Leaf, be well.

In my experience Vertigos for example also get spotted when flying over infantry.

Yes I increased the shadow map resolution as well since it was too pixelated for me.

Excellent use of blink packs!! Shadow teams should stealth inflight, imo.. kinda nerfs them a lot

Hey @masterleafcnc Since you're the only genius off-meta strategist; I noticed that decoy armies technically actually do damage, and enough decoy flametanks can actually still snipe a building. Can decoy beamcannons accomplish the same thing, or combine with other non-decoy beamcannons to add to that exponential damage per # of beamcannon?

Sorry for the late reply. Decoy rockets even do real damage if theyre destroyed when rockets are in mid air (its a bug). Decoy beam cannons dont do anything. Decoy sniper teams can spot for bombardment in 2v2 games though.

at roughly 26:30, how did your plasma missile battery kill so many venoms? You kinda explained it but I didn't quite get it

Did your mod give balance change abit? I notice something change abit like repair transport for steel talon has much larger radius of repair.

This is 1.02+ with my mods on top of it (which is mostly visual, it also contains patch changes but works even if opponent doesnt have them). 1.02+ does indeed change the balance of the game, we wouldn't be still playing today if the game hadn't changed in 14 years.

I'm curious, do the PAC spawned ion storm stats compare to the column? Less damage and range? Just find it odd how its not used more given the buff it applies to scrin air, especially its significant regeneration bonus. Edit: Is the one shot attack vs Stealth Tanks from the ion storm or the column itself?

The ion storm on Storm Column is identical to the planetary assault carrier, only it has a main lightning attack that deals 2500 rocket damage at a max range of 375 every 4 seconds. The ion storm cloud is a separate weapon with a range of 125 that deals 200 cannon damage every 0.5-1.2s.

Yes. I use f1, f2, f3, f4 etc with the units selected to micro individual abilities

Beam cannon + venom is a good option, but yes, this specific push here is difficult to stop for nod factions.

Is there a video of players beating ai at hardest difficulty. I would like to learn how to beat ai in skirmish.

rushes beat ai very well. brutal AI have eco advantages so hitting them with a rush early on really gimps their ability to pile up a massive amount of units. then keep them scouted and build the hard counter for whatever the ai is building

Hotkeys and quick hands are the best answer. The brutal ai is meant for warming up in a standard multiplayer games

the AI is not very intelligent in this game and is much easier to beat compared to a human opponent.

How do you get better when you Can beat skirmish? I am a noob, and I feel like that any1 online is Way above my level and therefor wasting their time playing vs me. Are there any noob/“beginner” tournements?
