The main hype is from people like myself. I knew these games existed on origin, but I never use that platform. It's brought things back into the light on a platform I use when I had forgotten about them. The past few days I've been enjoying all my childhood games again and am going to look into KW online once more. Let's hope I eventually get to challenge you leaf!
I think you should definitely give tib suits some resistance to tib base weapons. The base game says it... idk why it wasn't implemented but it wouldn't be "buffing", more just fixing something that should have already been a thing. Keep up the great work!
I was one of the players who bought the cnc collection on steam, since cnc series was among my favorite games. I recently subscribed to this channel as well and looking forward to jump into the multiplayer scene if possible. TW and KW will be my main focus since I actually did not own those games when they came out, and boy it is growing fast to be my favorite.
Leaf, I bought a Deck Oled 1Tb 3 weeks ago. Gyroscope really helps in TPS and FPS, but it's still not the same as a mouse. And I can't imagine playing any RTS on Deck, it won't be a great experience. Thanks for another AWESOME match!
Bought the collection on Steam in an instant after confirmation that you don't need an EA account or Origin. So yeah, that is a major point for some people.
Using Steam is a big deal for me on the C&C collection because it means that I could get rid of Origin, it was just annoying to have multiple platforms to launch certain game titles I took interest in. As much as I love all the C&C games, Red Alert 2 has been my most favorite of them all. I mostly hope there is a way for Mental Omega to be integrated onto the platform eventually.
Your comments on the support airfield reminds me - I am pretty sure the last time I checked - GDI cranes don't spawn infantry on selling, but nod and scrin cranes do. I think thats just an oversight, might be worth checking.
Additional "fixes" to make some of the game work on the fly with modern systems and ofc on Steam. Not many want to use Origin. And ofc the best C&C getting the most players, RA2. And ofc the biggest reason, normies don't go looking for unofficial fixes to get their games working. A normie will see the flashy thing on a popular store front and expect it to work. Nobody, unless they are an old fan will search this game series on Origin.
This. Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are updated and have the wording "TUC" behind the numbers of the game versions. Also, Steam Overlay works with them.
Hey can someone tell me why my computer does not allow me to download command post? It says there is a virus cant even download and i had it a week ago because i turned off the antivirus but then my pc crashed so i have to re download everything…
But I've been using that version for >6 years without any issues after installing the fix (which is easy). Origin/EA version is the only version that's compatible with the Kane Edition skins as well, so it's not that bad. Afaik they also patched the EA app version of the game so it doesn't require any tweaks. You previously didn't even need to launch the game with origin once you install the fixed launchers.
I think people might be seeing it as a sign that the franchise hasn't been totally forgotten and will possibly eventually get a remaster or something new on the horizon. But tbh I think that's just copium and this is just another EA cash grab, this time via Steam
A remaster won’t happen for sure because the former Westwood devs (Petroglyph Game) stated that they lost the original source code for both TibSun & RA2.
