On January 15 2023, at 2002 Local Time, C-GFDH, a Cessna 150M operated by Island AFS&C was on a South-west heading radial heading back to Toronto City Centre when the engine died, the pilot subsequently declared MAYDAY at 0102:16 (UTC) and landed on a local road minutes later.
According to Durham Regional Police, no one was injured, although some light poles and wiring were clipped during the emergency landing, causing injury to the wings. Unknown if any vehicles had damage. A section between Bayly Ave E and Audrey Road S is closed.
