The C-Suite Initiative is the Center’s first program to be developed. Through the C-Suite Initiative, we seek to activate within leadership a new level of commitment and action to create a more equitable corporate environment and increase the representation of Black leaders in C-Suite and Board positions. The program helps to provide guiding goals to drive progress, effectiveness, and ongoing tangible outcomes.
The Museum’s existing Unpacking Racism for Action program is also be offered within the Corporate Equity Center. Unpacking Racism for Action drills down on the issues of implicit bias, structural and institutional racism. The objectives are to increase awareness and knowledge of the many manifestations of racism; build skills and nurturing willingness to confront issues of racism as they arise in personal and professional settings; and co-create a supportive and accountable community for ongoing learning and action.
