Surprisingly serviceable nothing like the one on my ford fiesta which was impossible. I noticed you didn't put any grease back in,. I think it's just the years of moisture that build up and cause it to go green
I didn’t re-grease it because I intend to get myself one of those liquid copper pens for PCB track repairs to see if it helps out any. More of an experiment than anything really.
Think you’ll find your main beam control won’t work. The small white plastic bit that popped out needs to ride over the little white stud sticking up it then flicks the plastic sled back and forth to operate the main beam contacts. Don’t ask me how I know 😃😃
That’ll be one of the surface mounted diodes on the dash that’ll have failed. You need to strip the clocks down, de-solder the failed SMD, solder in a new one and re-assemble the clocks, they’re a common failure point. I have a video on the channel where I do exactly that, but to change the back lighting colour. It’s the exact same principle.
No, I’m not a commercial business and I’m not insured. You’d be better off replacing it with an after market part of you’re struggling to clean yours up.
