Please like, comment and Subscribe to my channel and let me know what you would like to see.
I'll try my best to go over the key points on this exstensive sheetmetal restoration. However if you think I missed something, comment and I'll mention you in the next video!

I did my cab corners and so much more but i cut the corners about 2 inches below the body lines,my philosophy is always keep the factory body lines if u can! Keep on it man she'll be nice wen its done!

Really good work. Future reference. That saw-saw has a foot on it for a reason. It’s to push against what your cutting to stabilize your cut. Also helps keep the blade from backing out of the cut and the tip pushing back.

You can use as much or as little of a patch pannel as you need to, thats why they come over size, to be able to fit any size repair. So what im sayin is you dont have to go up any higher than an inch past the rust line

i have a 68 rust free air condition cab just sitting with a bunch of extra parts like box doors 3/4 ton frame and running gear but my kid took the front clip plus have a set of floor pans, cab corners and kicker panels with backing all new got them for free with all the other parts. i was collecting parts for a bit and ended up getting a 68 rust free clean body factory paint with full chrome trim and rebuilt 327 and 400 turbo got it for a 1000 bucks. i don't like sbc so i put a stroke 454 with a 02xx 400r turbo good to 800 hp stock just needs final paint and interior dun

i have a 87 c10 that has some rust on a cab corner and a rocker and the kick panels is it safe to just buy a kit to repair all of it on both sides in advance

Ya I'd suggest it if you want to preserve the truck. These older Pickups are getting up there in value. Might be worth the time and money to save it

How did you brace the cab?

Got a bunch of videos on bracing the cab on a 67-72

I did a bit of bracing across the front and back with some 1" square tubing and used a 1/2" square tubing across the firewall. In my opinion I'm replacing so much sheetmetal the entire cab needs to be mocked up for proper gap alignment. Because I have several original cabs as references I rely on measurements instead of a previous existing structure that may be compromised from rust, damage and or a previous repair done incorrectly. Nothing worse than creating a jungle gym of bracing on a butchered cab and building off of it.
