For sure! He is the whole reason I felt comfortable going all out on a truck. Seeing his pictures showed me the steps and made it tangible.

Perfect timing I asked someone about these a few days ago so this helps. I’m building a 64 on my channel and I’m learning so these will help. Video tip just record in landscape on your phone and it’ll be perfect and not have that black bars on the side. Phones are more than capable of amazing videos especial iPhones. You got a new sub here

Thanks man. You can click full screen on your phone and it takes away the black bars. My last two videos I’ve recorded are in landscape now so I appreciate it.

Thank you so much. I tried to find info on how to do this all over the internet and couldn’t find anything. I hope it helps someone who purchased these and found out they don’t lay out.

Good info, im looking to bag my 64 in the future and i have cpp tubular lowers on it currently so i will most likely cup and trim those and make them work
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
Yea. You just have to trim the bumpstops. Super easy.

Hey brother you should go for that z frame. It is fun fun . And cheep . Just a lot lot of work/fun

Hey Brandon. Thanks for the suggestion. Possibly one day I would go that direction but for now I like to just keep things very simple. If I wanted to lay out the front I would probably just go with a drop member.

are you still around, and what year is your c10,,, I just had the CPP tubular installed and when I got home i drop it, and it didn't go all the way down, and then i look and saw the bump stops sitting on that upper support for the bags, and even my bags look funny, so i have to back and get that taken off asap, even my ride height that I like is to close to the bump stop, - also I used only 18" rim on the truck - as I had the airbags installed on 2003 just so that I could lower the truck to put my Motorcycle on the back by myself, and in the back, i have still have the lowered leaf springs with the bags but it goes all the way down to the c-notch,,, glad i found this video because i thought when I purchased the tubular at CPP they made sure that i had the ones for the airbags,, but the bump stop does not make sense - you can damage that upper part right

Hey buddy. You have some great questions. I’ll try to answer or comment on all of them. My truck is a 66. The cpp lowers are the same from 63-72. I’m not sure why cpp places a bumpstop on their lower control arm. It shouldn’t damage the top pocket though. Next go around I’ll spend up and go for a full control arm set from porterbuilt or strong arms. The bumpstops are easy to cut off. Just follow the video and reinstall them. That should give you a lower ride height without the control arm hitting anything.

are those CPP standard lower control arms, or CPP Control arms for airbags?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 10 месяцев назад
They are made for air bags.

Did you use dominator D2600 bags in this install?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 10 месяцев назад
No. I only use Airslamit parts on my builds. 2600

Do you prefer cupping the factory control arms, or do you prefer going this route? Thanks
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 Год назад
If I had my choice and no budget, I would buy buy some porterbuilt arms that are narrowed and forward 1 inch. Cupping is the budget friendly way.

I read that CPP lower control arms for airbags won't fit a 2600 airbag, but require a 2500 airbag for clearance. Do the bags fit the CPP lower control arms for airbags, without mods beside cutting the bumpstops.?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 10 месяцев назад
I used a 2600 bag with cpp lowers and never had an issue. Use the cpp upper bag plate for better alignment.

How low does it go with the CPP control arm after you modified it?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
The same drop as cupped lowers. As far as you can go without a drop member or Zing the frame. Reference my green truck on the bagging on a budget video to see.

Would the cpp upper work with bags
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
Yes you can get the full set. If I were buying a full set, I would go with ride tech or portbuilt

What are the draw backs of running the cpp uppers
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
@@dustingibson7809 there’s no draw backs to it. If you run porterbuilt you can get 1 inch narrow and 1 inch forward to center the wheel and reduce camber.
