such a helpful video!! I have a 63 c20 pretty much same frame but over there's two steel plates over the rear axle on the inside.. I'm thinking this will fit since it bolts to the outside of the frame.. same frame as the C10 but the insides a Little beefed . I think if anything I might just need a little bit longer hardware on the bottom if there is

First off thanks for making these videos. I’m about to install my step notch from Kp. How did you route the brake lines?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
I reused all the factory stuff basically. You can check out how I did black dice. I redid all the rear end lines.

Thanks for the helpful tips and great job on your trucks. I have a '61 Apache and i'm building most of my components, since their is almost no aftermarket parts for my year, so i was wondering what are those bolts that you used to mount the bags to the brackets and what did you use for the intake hole on the bag?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
The bolts are just 3/8 inch grade 8 bolts with washers and lock washers. I used a 90 degree push fitting.

@@SIMPLE.C10 Thanks. I thought I saw some kind of specialized fittings at first. I really appreciate the videos you're putting out. I've been looking for someone to explain the step by step process. Please keep up the great work.

Two questions, do you add shocks to the rear? And also how is the ride with the set up? Right now my truck rides like a covered wagon. It’s just has drop springs.
@SIMPLE.C10

Smooth as butter! Yes. Shocks are really important.

I'm interested in a low stance but want to save as much of my truck bed as possible. I don't want to do a 4 link. I want to use the stock trailing arms. How many inches of extra space are in this step notch set up? Could I weld in a shorter step notch and get the same height but have a deeper truck bed? Thanks for sharing!
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
Yes, if you can weld, you can do a smaller notch and get about 4 more inches of bed room. You can do this exact setup without the kp components step notch. I only use it because I’ve done it before and I don’t have a welder or the skill to do it any other way.
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
You could go with a basic bolt in notch and get really low and not loose any of your bed floor but it just isn’t low enough for me.

@@SIMPLE.C10 I like what you did with the front end. both with the cupped LCAs and the aftermarket control arms. I would like to copy that and then get the rear to sit level without wasting any of the bed space. Your vids and replies have been very helpful. Thanks!

Do you know if using the bolt in cpp notch that's about 4" of clearance, with the 4" drop blocks and the adjustable panhard bar. It will still be about half inch off the ground or will I need that monster notch?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
The mini notch will not get you close to laying out. A monster notch is 9 inches of clearance. With the bolt in notch and blocks you will be about 4 inches off the ground compared to about an inch with the bigger notch the way mine are bagged. Flash, my red truck, is mini notched.

I did not notice in previous videos. Is the "white wall" actually part of the rim painted white?
@SIMPLE.C10
@SIMPLE.C10 2 года назад
Yes! The rim lip is painted white to appear like a white wall. I have pics on my Instagram simple.c10s
