Some days, especially on the gloomy ones, we all get that feeling that we should’ve just stayed home. Thanks Jimmy for the daily glimpse into your day. At the very least, I get reassurance that I’m not the only one dealing with life’s daily turbulence. Keep Rowing 😅
SRT needs the OEM radiator. Aftermarket one is too small, cores to thin and inlet port too small. That car will run hot or possibly even overheat? Fans will cycle too much, burning out sooner?
You can give the customer the option of oem but 99% of the time they will go for the cheaper aftermarket option. Just the realty of working on cars and selling jobs
Excellent video Jimmy! I'm surprised that the shop thinks you spend too much time on diag and doesn't mind increased comebacks. The premise of a repair shop is to make an effective repair the first time. The only comebacks should be a customer who comes back for further routine service or repairs. It sounds like management is taking a page from the medical/veterinary industry.
People won't hesitate to spend a hundred a week on Starbucks and thousands just so they can brag about having the newest IPhone or sneakers. Yet when they are done abusing their car, they badmouth the mechanic somehow suggesting that the final bill all goes into his pocket.. That is ignorance at the highest level. THE MASSES ARE ASSES.
Man it is amazing how people see things sometimes. To many aren't able to see things from another perspective. I agree. Sad but true, like Metallica says. :)
Yeah, I have seen some that say do not lubricate the seal. I always try to make sure there is some oil on the surface or gasket, but not too much. So far so good.
Man she was upset. At least she has some information to bring back where she paid all that money. She came down from up north, but that would not deter me. I think her either.
Samaritans Purse is prejudiced against LGBTQ and has refused to help them in the past. I would never give money to ANY charity that refuses to help someone based on an archaic prejudice. The Red Cross helps everyone!
@@kathysexton4554If that group didn't mention their sexuality at every turn, it wouldn't be an issue because nobody would know. People are tired of these small groups dominating every conversation and lawsuit. Not sure why you feel the need to judge everything by how these groups can benefit or not.
@@kathysexton4554 Read it again. See, that chip on your shoulder is clearly your identity and isn't helping your cause.. Make no mistake. Who you are or what you identify as is meaningless to Me. You opened your mouth and challenged the host on his own channel because you were looking for attention. Well, you got it. Happy now? I doubt it.
Great video Jimmy. I lost a friend when she told me my husband was a thief. She had met him once (at our wedding) and only knew that he was a mechanic. I never spoke to her again. So much garbage is spewed about how "mechanics are evil" that it taints everyone. - By the way - I love the way you intentionally mess up words! James and I do the same thing and my Daddy did do, LOL
"the bashing on mechanics" A lot of it is deserved from my experience. TX valve not replaced when I was charged for the part and labor. Dealership tech lied about an issue to try to get me to pay out of pocket instead of it being covered by warranty. Dealership techs getting oil/grease on my new car seats. Mechanic lied about being knowledgable about parasitic drain issues, wasted my time and money when he didn't know shit, said dumb stuff like said 0.3A idle draw was normal (that's 10x what it should be). So yeah, A LOT of mechanics are thieves and are incompetent from my personal experience, and a LOT of people are having these experiences. Bad mechs, crazy labor rates, and the stupid markup on parts ($40 for a standard brake hose is INSANE when I can get a quality brand part from rockauto for less than half that) all have been why I now handle basic maintenance on my car. The bashing will continue until behavior improves.
