It was fun getting the supercharger on even though it had its ups and downs. If you have any questions feel free to drop them in the comments! #corvette #supercharger #c6 #cammed
@Khivette man, I am wiggling between paying a shop, and doing the install myself. I've worked on cars most my life, but this one is a bit intimidating. Just bought the '08 vette and tryna get a feel for how big of a job this is. Your video is super helpful tho, I understand the work involved. Did you use any manuals/instructions for the details that are left out?
@@Nunya644 A&A has pdf instructions on their website. as someone that was once in your shoes i would say do a cam first since theres plenty of youtube videos on that, and all the things you'll need to do. if you can handle the research of all the necessary things to do a cam (upgrading springs, lifters, timing chain etc.) then you'll be able to do a supercharger.
Great video my man!! Cars sweet & if I'm watching it no need to tell you what I think of the blower!! Got a bit of a kick outta watching you struggle not that I want to see you have a hard time it just really puts into perspective the size of the head unit!! Who wants a small supercharger anyway. I keep hearing A & A specifically pertaining to C5, C6, C7. How do you like it overall? How many psi did you start with? Have you increased the boost? What would you estimate total time for installation not including tunning??
@@brianobrian6637 yeah the headunit is a lot bigger than I thought 😂 I’m super happy with it honestly it’s great. It’s on about 8 psi right now and I haven’t turned it up. I’ll need bigger injectors if I want to make any more power. It took me about 2 weeks to install it while going to work and school. I could’ve done it in a week if I didn’t have school
very well put together video man. wish i had the patience and time to record a how to on my turbo build. it’s looking good tho man. how many miles are on your vette?
Thanks bro it’s definitely tough at times 😂 it has about 120ish but I’ve replaced pretty much everything except for pistons rods and heads in the past 3 years. Soon everything on it will be new
Two lines. So there is one hole in the oil pan that goes to the supercharger drain at the bottom of the supercharger. There is another hole on the side of the block once you remove the galley plug, that’s where the oil supply line will go and it goes to the top of the supercharger.
